Why do Canadian women dress so poorly?

What about us guys? Unless we are gay, do we really dress any better? Lets look at ourselves in the mirror.
So, men who dress well are all gays? LOL

It is just one of the the me-me-me-I-don't-care-what-you-think mentality IMHO: people (men + women) generally don't respect the others and the occasion.

Like my french girlfriend used to say "They dont know how to dress, they are so Ontario".
French girlfriend as in French French or Quebecoise French??? So Ontario women do not know how to dress or Canadian women in the entire country do not know how to dress??? Some philosopher once said, "All generalizations are false." Give Canadian women a break!!!

North America has always had a more "casual" attitude in regards to wardrobe than Europe and Asia. This goes for the men too. You can always pick out Americans and Canadians travelling in those areas since we tend to be more dressed down.

Quebecoise ,and if you can read she said Ontario.I tend to agree .
Yes the good doc can read but should make it clear the objection is directed towards the OP, especially his title "Why do Canadian women dress so poorly?" From what your girlfriend sounded like, at least French Quebecoise women know how to dress. Furthermore, perhaps your girlfriend has not come across some Ontario women who know how to dress eh??? Perhaps the good doc should say it one more time. All sweeping generalizations are false. Also, whose standards are being used here to judge one knows how to dress and one does not know how to dress??? Are these standards absolute and objective as if they are mandates from God??? Or are they relative and subjective??? The title of this thread needs to be qualified for it not to be ridiculous.

Canadian women not only dress poorly but are fatter than EE and latinas. That's what you get when you give them an equal opportunity to earn money. It also makes it much more difficult to fuck them in terms of time and effort that must be spent on dating.
The downside of an opinion board....

I'd have to modify the OP's original premise and say English Canadian women have no sense of good style.

it should be also noted that it is not women's fault that Canadian men have such a poor taste that they equal high heels to high class
High heels ? Some of the more befuddled of us equate not getting caught cheating with high class. I thought you were being sarcastic afterhours but now I'm not so sure. Good luck with your approach. Remember to keep plenty of cash on hand.

Anyone who has been to Montreal in the summer knows this thread is nonsense.

I think it says more about the man's outlook on women when he's complaining about women who aren't always dressing sexy. Newsflash! Women don't always want to dress sexy and they definitely don't always want to dress sexy for YOU! I know several real hotties who purposely dress down when they go out on errands just so they can avoid the leering from guys like you.

I see plenty of hotties walking around dressed well. Sure there are plenty of notties (I was down in Niagara Falls and man-oh-man are there a lot of "trailer trash" dressers down there) but I don't complain about that. I understand that not every woman wants to be viewed as a sex object all the time.

Frankly, I would rather see a woman dress casual than wear tight, revealing clothing when she hasn't got the body for it.

Let's face it, most women in North America just aren't in that good shape, so they can't wear the nice clothes.
Fast food culture is still more of a fact of life here than in Europe.

Like when I see those small tight shirts and the woman has a belly, or low slung jeans revealing a whale tail on a flabby ass, it's just plain wrong. Leave on the sweatpants.

Remember that Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where his secretary was wearing the belly-revealing shirt? LOL

Right on brother! The nerve of those bitches not to dress every day for our sexual titilation. We should lobby government to reduce women's wages, so they will be more inclined to fuck us for a meal at McDonalds. </sarcasm>

I can understand wanting a woman to dress up for something formal, or if she's going out someplace fancy, otherwise I don't see why you'd care. Some of the sexiest women I've seen wear jeans or sweat pants, boots with the fur, and one of them fur hood jackets. It's never failed to turn me on :/

Although a good sundress can make a girl look angelic, albeit a little harder to approach :]

I find that now as I'm getting a little older, I dress a bit more conservative and also for comfort. When I was in my teens and early/mid twenties I was more into the really trendy clothes, 4-inch heels, baring my midriff, wearing really short shorts, etc. My body is not quite as taut as it once was (but I'm working on it!) so I show a bit less skin now, LOL.

Also I don't like to draw as much attention/leering eyes like I used to, especially when visiting clients. When I go to hotels now I actually prefer to blend in so I don't attract any unwanted attention...but there are ways to be comfortable and blend in without resorting to jeans and flip-flops and there are also ways to be conservatively sexy and stylish without overdoing it.

People keep going on about brand names and trends, but to me, that is not the issue. Simply put, the majority of Canadian and North American men and women dress (in my opinion) overly casually, bordering on sloppy on a day-to-day basis. There is no sense of style and little in the way of taking pride in one's appearance.

For example, even when men here wear suits, they are often cheap, off-the-rack and untailored. Or ill-fitting baggy jeans for "casual" days. And yes, often following trends that have become long obselete. (Think: "Affliction"-style t-shirts.)

It would be a nice turn if more people in Toronto, Canada and North America just put a little effort into what they wear. It doesn't cost a lot of money, and it goes a long way - in every way.

And yes, I am a little superficial. ;)
