I have googled it and had talks with many friends and family, but I am still unsure - hence my bringing it here for discussion. I agree that you cannot compare female and male genital cutting - having a degree in human rights, I had my fair share of material on the topic.
My concerns are obviously hygenic - having been in the business for over 10 years, I have seen my fair share of male bits and bites. I have seen some uncircumcised men that cannot even pull their head out and it looks like their penis is sewn shut; I have seen them that the head makes an appearance but it cannot be fully pulled back; I have seen men who react with pain if it gets pulled back to far; I have smelled some pretty funky "cottage cheese dick" which is repulsive - they can't actually clean properly because they can't fully pull the skin back; I have seen some deformed looking heads because they obviously didn't develop properly because they had been squished or held back by foreskin and I have seen some beautiful uncut units that as soon as it becomes erect, the head pops out without resistance. But with that being said, some of the easy sliders said their head was so sensitive, you couldn't touch it.
On the other side, uncut men are so desensitized that its hard for them to get off.
Obviously, I would teach my son to properly clean himself and the potential consequences of not doing so, but I cannot imagine so many mothers not doing that - so how come I have seen so many cases over the years that makes me think that, just like the size of a woman's clitoris and aerola, the affects of foreskin is totally up to nature and kind of like a wild card - you just dont know what you are gonna get?
