ok, so here is the thing occupying my mind for a while.

These SPs meet thousands of guys, who they too visit tens of other SPs. Some SPs do BBBJ, some allow coming in their mouths and, unbelievably, some even swallow !!!

Now you read in the medical articles that each time you have sex, even protected, there is a chance of STD transmission. I know some STDs are hard to pass, like HIV. Others are quit easy to be transmitted like herpes simplex (even with candom).

Here is the dilemma: how do you guys/SPs survive all this? I want to see some SPs, but when I see guys telling here how they come in their mouths, I tell myself, shit! I am gonna contract herpes at least!

I would like to know the chances of getting anything nasty with protected safe sex with SPs (independent & agency). Please only educated comments (and oh, please, god, do not say if you do not like it, do not do it, blah blah blah. just some risk assessment).

Thanks

If you drive to work, you know there is a chance you could get into a car crash and possibily die. Do you still drive to work or take an alternative mean with lower risk. In general, life is about taking risks, but you try to put the odds in your favour. For driving, safe car, safe speeds, wear safety belts, have car checked yada yada. With SPs, wear condoms, if you're into DATY (sight and smell test), read reviews (like car safety, there is a lot of information available such as hygiene or whether she has offer BBFS before) and probably more that I am not thinking of.

There is no perfect prevention method (except LOL abstinence), but there are ways to lower your risks.

Trust me. You don't want to know the answer.

Lots of risks and you only listed some of them. It's too late for most of us but you still have a chance to save yourself.

With the way you posted, even if you caught nothing, you'd drive yourself crazy constantly worrying about it. This hobby is not for you. Find a girlfriend and then you'll have zero worries about STD's as civvie girls are much cleaner.

what's crazy is that some SPs swallow!!!

Are agency girls routinely tested and safer to see?!

My guts tell me lesser known SPs are likely safer than well-reviewed ones (fewer clients). Also those with better reviews probably offer unsafe items and may attract lots of people.

It would be interesting if guys/SPs can comment what infections they carry, to get a sense of issue. I mean we are behind our computers, it wont hurt to say it here!

You definitely seem like a Terby. Either a banned Terby or one with multiple handles. Your terb language is too good to a newbie. There are tons of other threads about STDs.
not really. Just honestly looking for information.

From a doctor:

If you use condoms, chances of disease from oral or intercourse are quite small. It does happen, but very rare. Bigger risk is actually kissing with exchange of saliva (DFK for example), since there's lots of nasties can get transferred that way (including new strains that are antibiotic resistant). Avoid the kissing and stick to condoms and you'll be fine. I know many SPs who've been in the business for years, with thousands of partners, and as long as they are safe and clean they have had no problems. Slip up once, though, and the odds go up.

Interesting. So say I use condoms and avoid DFK etc, is it safe to see SPs?!!

I am not sure what is the chance of transmission through condom or skin to skin contact with a sex worker (no condom break up).

No they are not since virtually no agencies that I have ever heard of have been known to provide any type of medical or health benefits, training, assistance, etc. Select Company Escorts is the only agency that I have heard of that actually takes the time to train their girls on basics of safety, however no agencies are affiliated with any clinics that provide testing. I recommend either being open with your doctor or going to the Hassle Free Clinic to keep yourself aware of your health status if you do decide to play as a hobbyist.

Agency girls are booked by phone personnel who work off of commission and keep track of time for the escorts. While the girls are working, someone else is manning the phones trying to line up their next call. Independents (unless they hire "receptionists") are generally less high volume since they are unable to do calls while also booking the next immediate line-up of calls.

Your guts are misleading you. Lesser-known SPs often do not show as much concern for their reputations so they are more likely to have erratic behaviour when it comes to following a set of safety and health standards as sex workers. Many of them use various names and fake pictures/profiles in order to attract as many clients as possible and when they are outed for negative behaviour, they simply change their alias and number. Those with better reviews are able to show consistency in their services and you have a plethora of reviewers to contact regarding safe practices.

As with anything in life, there are exceptions (i.e. gems in the rough of unknown classified escorts as well as unsafe services provided by well-reviewed ladies), but I think the general rule of thumb is to trust reviews from reputable sources. Do your research. It would be a shame for you to fall into the dirty trenches of backpage unknowns because you think the well-reviewed girls all offer unsafe services to a higher volume of clients - that is just not true. If anything, lesser known escorts will be easier to negotiate with and pressure into providing "off-menu" items.

One painfully apparent truth that can't be denied is that the higher the volume of clients seen and the more PSE the services (i.e. CIMSW, greek, DFK, BBFS, BBPS, etc)... the exponentially greater your risk of catching something from that SP. You might also consider the "category" that the escort belongs in or the kind of clientele she caters to. A girl who offers 15min in-car sessions for example is likely to see clients who would prefer to spend on other multiple SPs who provide very unsafe services (these guys value quantity over quality). The more refined and health-minded the clients of the girl are, the less likely you are to catch something. Remember the girls get STIs from other men, so who those other men are seeing plays a role in what you expose yourself to.

Hope that helps! It's good that you are thinking with your bigger head prior to jumping in with your little head. :)

Good luck!
This information is helpful! Thanks.

Any suggestion how to choose SPs and dos/do-not-dos to minimize the risk is appreciated.

I think this should be part of the sex education one receives in youth before any form of sexual activities. But for adults who use this service as entertainment, this shouldn't be a question at all. By the way, searching "can i get STD from protected sex with sex worker" in google is quite easy, and I'm sure you will see a lot of "educated comments" from doctors, medical institutions and other experts.

In addition, the gals who I see regularly do take routine tests all the time, especially the popular ones. They wanna protect themselves more and that's why most SPs would love to develop a list of regulars and minimize the risks. However, there is still risk even the gal does test negative, because if one guy she sees after the test has it, then that's it. But she's already done all she could to reduce that chance.

Thanks Alona for giving us the insider view of the industry. Glad to see at least one agency is giving some sex ed 101. I wonder if us clients start demanding the agencies give at least minimum safety training, what would happen.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know with 100% certainty who is safer: an agency, indy or civilian. Civilians may have been with fewer partners, but you really have no idea of how many and she may even have been an SP in a previous life. A virgin would carry no risk at all, but again it can be difficult to know if she truly is unless you're doing a medical test. In addition, civilians may have never been tested before or even heard of the Hassle Free Clinic. That's not to say that indys or agency girls have regular tests either, but they are more likely to have done it. Even a negative STI test doesn't prove anything either because there is always a gap between tests where someone can get infected.

I personally stick with well reviewed indy ladies too. Most of the well reviewed indys have clear restrictions and care about their personal hygiene. I haven't seen many agency girls since I share Alona's concern that the ladies are just cycled through as much as possible to maximize profit. This is not to say that agency girls are any less clean than indys. It simply depends on if the lady cares or knows about the safety risks and gets herself tested regularly.

I the OP truly wants to minimize risk, then stay at home to some porn ;) Seriously though, an MPA probably more for you and don't go for the extras: kissing, bbcs, or ass slide on cock (can't remember if that's called italian or spanish?) Don't think you can get anything from a hand job or russian unless the MPA's hands / boobs happen to have blood on them / open wounds, or has metal slivers on them ;)

One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is that if the OP is going to start hobbying especially if you want FS, then you need to get yourself tested regularly. Triply so if you have a significant other in your life.

If not a greater risk if you go BBFS. And if you do, how many other guys has she gone BB with?
