Best greek Astorias on the danforth. BBQ grilled kabobs
I always preferred Omonia on the Danforth, but I do like Astoria, particularly 1970(?) Dundas location just down the road from Diamond's SC.

Jump restaurant at bay and Wellington, great food, chill vibe. It's kind of a New York style restaurant, big selection of whiskeys (not just Canadian, and some unique ones too) if you're into whiskey and the sort.

I used to like Jump, haven't been there in a while but gotta change that.

Recently did Daisho@Momofuku and I loved it......it was US style with casual servers who weren't snooty and that was part of the positive experience. This is University and Adelaide Ave, quick cab ride within the core.

Bar Isabel too. A little longer cab ride to College and Ossington.

You'd also want to check out the Drake hotel - lounge, sky yard and Underground if you can - Queen and Ossington I think.

Agree, The scotch selection is awesome and the service makes it even better.

If you are in the mood for Italian Buca on King st West is amazing. They make all of their own cured meats and the wine selection is great.
