So do we have any chance of landing a Boogie Cousins? If Miami and Boston are both after Boogie, then don't we have a better chance with Dwayne Casey as a coach over Spoelstra or Brad Stevens. Aren't we more willing to give up Byombo and/or Valunciunas or Ross as well as draft picks?
Cousins is an incredibly talented player, however, I'm not convinced he is the answer to the Raps needs. His demeanor could upset any positive chemistry on a team. Personally, I would not give up a lot to get him. While his numbers are impressive, the teams W-L record isn't! Lakers look to be the team that really covets him and if they want to give up picks and prospects to get him, good luck.

bench outscored 51 - 27 Would have thought the bench would be solid with the return of Jonas and Carroll
Bulls were without Noah and the Raps had a full team. Raps have to shake a couple of guys up, either bench them or trade them.
I still have a problem with the 11 million for Ross and they wouldn't pay Amir 12 million.

....and then the bench sort a came back..!! Now, on a night when the 76ers and the Lakers won and the Warriors actually lost again, the Raps barely beat depleted Wiz team to continue their mastery during the season over them. Now the playoffs.........that's another story:(..... Well, those pesky Hornets are in to start 2016 off. Really noticing now how playing East teams are way tougher than past years......

:thumb::cheer2::canada: And furthermore, all the best for a Happy New Year! Noe that 2015 is :closed_2: lets hope that 2016 brings more Raptor cheer to us all and may all your hobbying moments be priceless! Happy Happy all.....!

First Happy 2016 to gfe and all the terb membership.
Raps barely beat a depleted Wizards team after building what should have been a comfortable lead! IMO 2 guys showed up, DeRozan and Biyombo. Heard Bobble Head Armstrong saying Ross had a great game, not in my book . He was 50% shooting but his defense, some of his shot selection, his failure to pass says he needs to work at his game. Oh and he did go inside once, and scored. Maybe his head band is too tight. He has to learn to do the same thing DeRozan does, drive the basket and get fouled. He did get a few more rebounds which is always good.
Patterson 0 points, need him to score!
To be completely honest, I was trying to watch the hockey game as well, so I may have missed a few things.
Benches numbers looked ok against the Wizards numbers but Raps had a full team and Wizards had a full infirmary. Take the win but far from impressed!

I would like to know how James Johnson goes from starter in a few games (when the injuries to JV and DC kept them out) to not getting a single minute in the Washington game. He couldn't be any worse than Patrick Patterson. I'm sure that he could drive to the basket for a few points as he usually does and provided us some competent defense. Sometimes I don't know what Casey is thinking.

I think JJ has a lot of natural talent, unfortunately he doesn't always play smart. He can play the 4 but is really more suited to the 3, which is probably why Paterson got the minutes. Paterson shooting is at best, inconsistent, and the Raps need him to score, inside and long range. Defensively he is OK. I really believed JJ would be an energizer off the bench this year, so far, it hasn't happened. There are times when he is on the floor, he doesn't seem to be sure what his role is. At the moment Biyombo and Joseph are about all they have coming off the bench.

D., your 11man has given us a few moments, no?!? Lol...
W, as for JJ it's his incompetent defence that has Ben the problem. JJ's a team guy but that's his kryptonite as he's too prone to help and let's his man get loose. Which is a problem at the 3 with all the talent there to defend. DC on D is incredible, has his man and knows when to help without loosing his responsibilities. JJ can't seem to get that right, but it's only been two years!!! And PP and his extension looks like another whoopsie moment right now as he is pathetic off the bench nowadays. And now 2016 and the Hornets....

Raps win! they beat a pretty depleted line up and it took a kick ass 4th quarter rally to do it. Bench performed well and against what the Hornets had, they should have. Patterson dropped some buckets and the 11 million dollar turkey was pretty good!

I hate the way the all star teams are selected but DeRozan should be there. He is playing huge for that max contract next year!

It will be great for him to be all star especially when the game is in T.O

...and then the bench returns for a half....good to get that hornet out of your bonnet!!.......this squad is so Jekyll n Hyde in the way they go about life, like fourth quarter stumble one game then fourth quarter close out the next... First of the 3C triangle goes well now how about Chicago and Cleveland? ..... Saw the graphic about Jan being the month to make hay agains the east so we got some work to do.... And yea, this year's vote makes it tough to stuffthebox but I really do think our backcourt is allstar capable and deserving and I think both will make it somehow....

.....and on a whole other note can Man U get that lustre back? They look normal again today....but I'm a Spurs fan so ....

Funny I would have bet you are a Raptors fan!:D
...got me, D, should know better than to put football comments in the bball thread.:thumb::biggrin1: Tottenham Hotspurs is the obvious clarification...!

KLo did turn an ankle during game but no issues even in game so he is probable tonight. Let's take da Bulls down tonight before we head to a lesson in Cleveland..!!!

Really there is a team called the "Hotspurs" and they play another sport, does that sport use a ball?.....Yeah I was aware , it was a slow day and it was too easy!!!:D

IMO Raps should kick the Bulls asses, but, you never know which group of Raptors are gonna show up on a given night! If it were up to me everybody would be on incentive based contracts.

Sometimes you just know it's going to happen. They have a lead at halftime, and even heading into the 4th....even with 6 minutes....but you can just tell they're gonna give it away slowly.....then lose.

W, that feeling is getting too repetitive...up by 11 with 3 to go and barely scrape last game and 11 again with a bunch and they let Butler go off (would have thunk that Jordan wud have more than 40 in a half somewhere!)...DC minutes restriction hurt but still the offence has to figure it out...this iso 1 against them crap has got to go........
....and now the road trip of all trips this year with another jaunt to London to end it all.....how many other teams play these games each year cuz Raps have now gone 2 straight years, no?....then the home stand of two weeks to recover and regain control...this is the month to show up and get counted, Raps so no more letdowns, please..!

up by 15 in the third and AGAIN no killer instinct! They should have stomped on them at that point, but no, the Raps let them back in and Butler went crazy! That was an awesome performance. He hit his final 3 over Carroll and I thought it was well defended but it went in! Carroll couldn't believe it either!
The Raps have to get a killer instinct or it will be gone in round 1 again. I think Masai needs to find a player or 2, with talent and attitude! Trade a couple of our nice guys!
