I wouldn't buy a BMW or anything out of the Black Forest.
Family history with the Nazis and concentration camps.
Read consumer reports and you will find their reliability to be poor.
If it was not for the snob factor...
I'm happy in my Pedestrian Ford Flex, Dodge Challenger and several Ford toys.
As for a Hyundai keep on driving imports, it helps our exports.
Exports of jobs and money.
Flex built in Oakville, Challenger in Brampton.

For this logic don't buy Ford either.

He published the four volume "antisemitic" book The International Jew in 1920.

Here
Well, in fact Hyundai is making extremely good cars at fairly reasonable and competitive prices.

My wife used to drive an Acura TL and I used to drive a Mercedes. Both of us now drive Hyundais and both of us are quite pleased with the performance and quality of our cars... to say nothing of the 5 year/100,000km bumper to bumper warranty.

No... I don't work for Hyundai... I don't even own their stock!!!!!

Not Jewish.
You didn't have to be Jewish to end up in a concentration camp.
If you listen to someone of Jewish extraction or the media you might not be aware of that.

In post #3, you had written: "I wouldn't buy a BMW or anything out of the Black Forest. Family history with the Nazis and concentration camps." Then you professed your support & respect of Ford products.

Iris had correctly pointed how Henry Ford was a well-known Nazi-sympathizer. You deflected by denying any Semitic heritage and referenced the many homosexuals, Slavs, mentally & physically-challenged people who were also sent to the concentration camps along with the +6million Jews.

But you haven't addressed the point that the father of your auto collection, Henry Ford, was a Nazi-man but you refuse to support BMW because of its "family history with Nazis". I believe that was Iris' point. Perhaps you can address that now.

Or did I get that wrong?

Why would I buy a car that doesn't even have door handle?

I asked a tow-truck driver which cars he tows the most, his answer was BMW's and Mercedes
I have a hard time believing that. Properly maintained cars these days, especially high end ones rarely encounter problems that will leave you stranded.

Now if you're talking about which cars are towed the most for illegal parking, then yes. BMW and MB would be right up there.

Agreed. I bought a Hyundai Elantra straight out of university. Had a sensor fail early (covered by warranty), but then I had nary a problem for 312,000km! Before that I drove a Dodge and a Ford, both with far less kilometers and both with far more reliability issues. So when I finally retired my still well-running Elantra, it was a no-brainer to go with Hyundai again. Just did a bit of an upgrade this time around!

I guess non of you will be going to Disney World/Land rat haven. Big Nazi sympathizer to.
The economic turn around created by the Nazis prewar had Merican banks and businesses all over them.
Ford's assembly lines played a huge part in defeating the Nazis.

Just look in consumer reports.
Those cars consistently score poorly in reliability. And the cost of repairs and simple maintenance.
Just look what an oil filter costs. Don't let them BS you with, "It's for a Mercedes Ya." I could feed a family of 4 for a week with the cost of a filter. Believe me there is nothing special. Just snobbery.
A Ford filter is less than $10. Even for my GTs it was only $19.95. And that is a specialty item for an extremely low production run item.
Ya!

Jags are fine now, they used to be terrible before Ford took over....spent billions and then sold them at a massive loss.

If anyone knows anything about cars they would know that the most improved car manufacturing companies are South Korean companies. Hyundai has come a long way since it's Hyundai Pony, The Hyundai Genesis, Hyundai Equus are just as good as any car in that category for a fraction of the price.
They are just as reliable as any Japanese cars if not more.

OP do you have a link stating that Hyundai is at the same price of the BMW in the same category?
BTW if I am not mistaken that car is a concept car and not in production.
