@WyattEarp won't fall for that. He still thinks there is political wisdom and logic behind Trump being in power. He is very knowledgeable about history, economics, and politics. That's why he always bring interesting and well written post here. But he's not at all a believer in sociology.

However, they'll figure it out. The U.S. government and the major airlines want a strong Boeing.
I think it is likely Boing will recover, because it is an important player in the military industrial complex.
But China is just entering the commercial airline business with large body long haul aircrafts C929. I suspect BRICS countries will buy Chinese. The commercial business will have 3 players.

Jalimon, if you follow my posts I try to post on one issue at a time and develop my opinion based on following a situation over decades. Most of these opinions pre-date Trump's rise. Many members merely react to events as if history began in 2016.
I generally don't like all these sweeping platitudes. Social media is going nuts with the self-identified "resistance" fighting every concept or word that Trump puts out there. Many can lose sight of the specifics affecting Americans. I guess another way to describe it is to say U.S. political campaigns never end now. Social media and mass media work hand in hand to make that the reality.
Anyway, Canadians have a big decision this year. After ten years of Trudeau's Administration, you have to decide if a change is necessary. Strangely, I think friction with Trump might make the Liberals a more sympathetic choice. However, I tend to think Canadian voters like Americans vote with their pocket books which might be something you find too cynical.
If this were true, we'd never have a conservative prime minister again.

I agree, it's a mosquito bite on a hippo but it's a statement. Canada alone cannot beat the US in a trade war, it will have to be Canada, Mexico, China and the EU counter-tariffing them til they cry like a baby hippo.
Although Canada and Mexico together can do quite a bit of damage.

Travel to US is down which could cost them 14k jobs and $20b or more. No more US booze. You have to be careful with boycotts that you dont hurt local businesses though.
If you boycott US owned Tim Hortons, you could seriously hurt that franchise and put employees out of business
