Nearly all but 3 or 4 American presidents past and
present were/are Christians. Abraham Lincoln was one
of those few non-Christian presidents (technically). But
even Lincoln the non-Chrisitian would attend services
of the Presbyterian (or Baptist?) church like a Christian.
One can have religious faith without bringing political influence into it.

Chrisitan religion in American is less influenced by politics
than vice versa. Overall the U.S. is more conservative than
Europe. America's root in the Christian religion and faith could
be a factor.

Carney has to deal with Trump's bullshit. This is the wrong time to call an election.
I'm impressed with Carney, but I would prefer an election sooner than later.
I think it should be left up to the voters, especially since Carney is interim leader of a party that got 33% of the popular vote last election,
less than the Conservatives.
I don't believe Carney will sell out to global elites or that Poilievre will sell out to the U.S.
People should have a say, especially after the Trudeau era, this is not healthy for the unity of the country.

Oops, Pierre now has to come up with an entirely new slogan! lmao.
Yes the new slogan should be:

"The Liberals stole your money for a decade via carbon tax and called anyone who criticized it a "climate change denier"... and now they want you to believe they don't support it because they just want to win an election."

No I didn't mind Trudeau's blackface.
It was just something stupid he did in his younger years from another time.
We should worry about Elon Musk's Nazi salute today rather than judge the actions of someone from 25 years ago based on today's cultural zeitgeist.
He was 30 years old. He was raised in a political family among the upper echelons of society and has condemned others as being racist.

ps he's gone now...you can stop making excuses for him.

If pictures would surface of someone like Poilievre from his youth and wearing blackface, you would be setting cars on fire in the streets with your outrage.

Be honest.

Ontario's righties don't seem to care much about Dougie's well-known career as a drug dealer.
You mean there was evidence that he did that? Like pictures or court convictions?

Please share.

It was.

I had lots of buddies in the artsy theatre / film crowd back then and they were still doing it and only a small minority thought it was cringe.
Perfect answer from a Trudeau apologist!

Lol!

Now close your eyes and imagine for a moment that pictures surface of Poilievre wearing blackface in the past...tell us how you would be cutting him the same amount of slack rather than setting things on fire.

That is not a slogan.

I am not disputing it is racist. Even Trudeau isn't.
I said something that happened 25 years ago does not bother me.
Something that happens today, aka Elon Musk's Nazi salute is more relevant to my problems today and therefore it bothers me.

I showed you a picture from today that disproves your misinformation-spreading comment.

You show me a picture that's 1 1/2 years old from a media source that is pro-Liberal and would rather show pictures of him from the early 2000's in glasses, while going soft on Trudeau for wearing blackface around the same time.
We know he wears glasses.
We also know he ditches them on the campaign trail or in the parliament as part of his image makeover.
Because he is not charismatic, which I believe was the original point.

I dont think you know the meaning of the word semantics.
Focusing on trivial details and missing the entire point is you playing with semantics to hide your failure at the argument.

Did I get that right?

He said it himself that his wife prefers him that way. His very words.

But I have to remind myself that you put more focus on someone you don't like for not wearing glasses when they normally do, than someone who wears blackface when they are 30 years old but calls other people racist.

I said Pierre needs a new slogan and you offered up one that was more of a rant than a slogan.
You can't seem to remain on topic.
