The worm has turned, nothing went right for the Jays in 2024. A year later the Yankees have imploded...I'm being merciful by not calling them the Wankees.

Since this video was made Garrit Cole has had Tommy John surgery.

Maybe I need to get used to him, but there's something about Joe Siddall's commentating I dont like.

Buck/Shulman combo is the best
I guess I have a different take. After getting used to the change, I like Joe's commentating. He's a little less repetitive than Buck and provides a bit more opinion. Loved Buck as a plucky and smart tandem/backup catcher but his voice took getting used to. When he first started he reminded me of Kermit the Frog.

Another vote here in favour of Siddal. When he started I was unimpressed, but over time I've become a big fan. Same with Caleb Joseph.

Power rankings have Jays at 7th best when they were in the middle a couple of weeks ago, they are ranked even ahead of Yankees

Yanks have lost two star starters so they will be going after the best starters they can find which will make it hard for the Jays to pick up a front line starter so they will go for a 3rd or 4th pitcher starter which will help them get into playoffs but not win the playoffs even of their offense keeps rolling

Offense gets you into playoffs but pitching wins the playoffs

Yes, Springer is a star and should be on the all stars - while our "superstar" gets to play and joke around - while arguably contributing the least to his own team's success.

Vlad playing around is neither here nor there

Jays MVP

1 Springer

2 Kirk

3 Vlad

Springer is not in all star game because he is not a full time position player

Jays success is a team effort

Blue Jays batters have fewest strike outs in the majors and a majors-leading 2,489 batted balls.

That and bunting and speed is why we win so many close games even with relievers injured

Ernie Clement would be third MVP...played 4 positions, contributed have to ut a pitcher somewhere in top5 - Hoffman?

I agree. Clement is one of the best utility players in MLB and hits .400 against lefties and .300 over all. Better than Vlad

As Vlad can not play short or second Clement may be more valuable than Vlad.

An essential and unheralded job that requires a skill set few have

Is Barger a MVP ahead of Vlad? Why not? Gun for an arm. Great bat speed. Can play more positions, more homers than Vlad with a 100 less at bats and a better OPS. Barger is a natural. I love the way he lifts his front leg in the box and never swings too early or lose his balance

Clement is worthy of being in All Star game but they want big names who hit homers, not utility players or great defensive players. The All Star game is not a true All Star game IMHO.
Not a surprise as MLB wants ratings

Hoffman maybe by end of year but not yet IMHO

Consider this as Jays MVP list and Vlad is not in top 5

1 Springer
2 Kirk
3 Clement
4 Barger
5 Hoffman
