Joy Reid would be a perfect fit for Newstalk 1010 CFRB. John Moore would pick her up at the airport and lick her boots.

Maddow's audience must mirror The View's... middle aged white women that have lived in privilege their entire lives.

I guess at the very least, the hens on The View still try to look feminine instead of like men.
I worry much of The View's audience have sexless existences.

Why put the whole 1:47 second clip when the quote you want to try and use to make the point is in the first 5?
That was 47 second of them just talking over each other.
And then it cuts before the actual discussion can be had.

I get that the point is that only the spin matters in social media and so you put a headline and a summary and assume people won't actually look at the full clip, but since that's being done anyway, why let the clip run for any significant length at all?
Perhaps the idea is that by pointing to the longer clip you can claim you aren't being misleading, counting on people being lazy.

Anyway.
It's fascinating from a media literacy point of view.

It's a twitter link and they're not talking over each other. She's interrupting him by trying to change the subject cause she doesn't know the answer to his question.

They are totally talking over each other.
And she doesn't need to know the answer, since the whole point is to try and do the "oh my god, doesn't that number shock you" thing he does at the end, which they conveniently cut off before she can reply.

The whole point of the twitter bit is to try and make it that her saying she doesn't know and doesn't care is the important part of the conversation when it clearly isn't.

Anyone who has dealt with someone stupid enough to go with "ObAmA WaS ThE DePoRtEr iN ChIeF!" as a defense of Trump knows to just ignore the bullshit and move on.

They never said anything when Obama was doing it in greater numbers and that is the point.

The Democrats and their sycophants are not on the moral high ground on this issue.

What a silly statement.
You think Obama wasn't criticized for his immigration and deportation policy?

The Democrats and their sycophants are not on the moral high ground on this issue.
That's the whole point of the attack, yes.
Pretending that it is about numbers and about the concept of immigration and therefore Democrats are hypocrites.
I suppose it appeals to people with a really shallow understanding of immigration and for the more cynical, it covers up Trump's actions via false equivalence.
But it isn't worth wasting time on, since it isn't like it is remotely in good faith or even really relevant in the way it is presented.

It was barley mentioned as compared to now and that is a fact.
They criticized Obama for a Day....Trump Everyday...there's a difference.
Of course.
Trump is doing something much different and far worse.
Different things get different mentions.
That's the least shocking thing ever.

Was Trump wrong in the border crisis?
Was Trump wrong for looking into the USAID?
I don't agree with his Tariff position. specially with Canada.
Was Trump wrong on his stance regarding Trans on women's sports?
Was Trump wrong for bombing Iran's Nuke facility? (this I'm on the fence)
What is Trump doing something that's "far worse".
