I do. And considering part of his platform are core values were empathy is a fake new age construct, and there is an acceptable ratio of gun violence for upholding the 2nd amendment, well he died due to his own values.

His own beliefs were just put into practice.
But are these core values of the left? Does the left believe empathy is a fake new age concept? I'd think so, based on the initial response from so many people. I think this is a case where there is value in "being the bigger person", and proving that the left does value empathy and is against gun violence (or maybe people you don't agree with don't deserve empathy?)

It's simple, but if more people just had the response "Sorry to his family for their loss, fuck gun violence".. They're proving that the left is empathetic, disagree with Charlie's views and is against senseless gun violence.

But the people (mostly on other platforms) straight up celebrating his death, using this as a time to mock him are definitely not showing that the left is a empathetic, non-violent party.

They're radicalizing the right and creating a bigger political divide.

EVERY left of centre political figure in the USA IMMEDIATELY posted statements to decry the event and to sympathize with Kirk's family.

That will not stop the right politicizing the event and demanding vengeance. That's how the game works.

As for me, I didn't call for the guy's killing, but I sure as fuck am not going to mourn someone I despised when he was alive.

Here’s why authorities may be having a hard time finding Kirk’s killer, according to a chief CNN analyst

https://www.cnn.com/us/live-news/charlie-kirk-shot-utah-death-09-11-25

According to CNN Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst John Miller, the shooter’s planning, skill and execution may be complicating the search.

He told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins that snipers have been studied closely by the government and they typically are people who are “methodical and patient, self-reliant.”

“This is the kind of person who would have planned to get in silently, try to be invisible, take this shot, accomplish the mission, take the gun with them and leave little evidence behind which is why I think they’re having a very difficult time getting started on this.”

Officials said earlier today that they believe the shooter fired one shot at one person and that it was a targeted incident.

The single fired shot shows that “the person is not new to shooting,” Miller said, which ultimately could help officials get to the bottom of the investigation.

“This is someone who knew exactly what they were doing and is probably known to others, and this may be working to the advantage of law enforcement,” Miller said. “As someone who has a long history in shooting, this wasn’t an amateur.”

Free speech has been on the decline for decades, but just in the last decade or so, it's had a disasterous path until recently. Charlie Kirk was definitely a motivated man in his ways. Ways that I believed in. What's most important, whether or not you were a fan, he did his scrums with empathy, grace and tact. There were only a few times where he might have been a little more aggressive, but it was still done with grace. He had some of the most heated discussions but he always had an answer to back himself with facts and stats.

This leaves a huge hole in the free speech realm. Something that my Liberal friends have celebrated. Celebrating ANYONE'S death/assissination is pure evil I told them. They are no longer my friends. You would never see a conservative celebrate a death such as this. There are extremists on both sides, and those are the ones that do heinous acts such as this; we do not celebrate this, but it seems what Elon Musk said that "Liberals are murderers" may have more clout.

Perhaps one day our society will return back to peace. A world where no one is assissinated for their beliefs, religion or way of life and if one disagrees, that person is not prosecuted by the court of public opinion.

Rest In Peace and God Bless you Charlie Kirk. Your work will continue.

Lack of empathy for those who are looking to marginalize them? Yes.

If an anti vaxxer gets covid and dies, I really don't have much empathy. If a bigot gets beat up after getting into a fught with a minority, I don't have much empathy.

And if a gun advocate, who stated that there are acceptable gun deaths to keep the 2nd amendment, gets shot and dies, then he has told me he is good with his own death.

As for his family, his wife accepted who he was, and financially will be just fine. No doubt the kids either have a community around them to help. I know many families who lost a parent at a young age, and turned out just fine.

I think Kirk was targeted by powerful people. There is more to this than a lone wolf.

He had help.

They will probably never find the guy, or never truly investigate if they do. On purpose.

Kirk was very problematic for old fart Republicans because he had 100% of the young republicans on his side. And has often threatened to use that power. Now the young republicans rallied the old farts for good out of the outcry.

The left did not do this. They never do.

FBI holding a press conference at 9am this morning
The shooter did not act alone. How in the world could a shooter go unnoticed at that angle of trajectory. From the video, it would seem that the shooter was at a low angle to clear the awning and have clear sight. Also the exit wound was level. Basically shot closely over the tops of the heads of the spectators. The awning was also at a lower level, in a pit so to say from the spectator stands/levels.
