Mason Fluharty showed his balls are the size of watermelons on the weekend.Jays relievers were outstanding that last game.
They need to be consistent, it will come down to the pitching.
They are so much fun to watch, the winning aside.

Yes to Scherzer, no to Santander.![]()
Factors to consider when forming Blue Jays' ALDS roster
The next few days will feature plenty of questions about who will make the Blue Jays’ ALDS roster. Shi Davidi and Ben Nicholson-Smith examine some factors that will influence Toronto's roster decisions.www.sportsnet.ca
Should Scherzer and Santander be part of the playoff squad???.....
I'm saying "no" to both.
The 1987 collapse was tragedy,Don't feel so bad about the 1987 collapse.
In Ny, our collapse was comedy, and their collapse was tragedy. The 1987 collapse was tragedy,
This collapse was comedy.
Basic theatre principles.
Exactly. In Ny, our collapse was comedy, and their collapse was tragedy.
I agree. And the announcers will keep making excuses for him and when he flies out talk about how good the swing was. Getting Bo back will help Vlad, with Bo behind him they have to pitch to Vlad so as to not walk him.Vlad a non factor again in a big game. We're reduced to making a big deal out of a single that normally would have been an out as the 2nd baseman was shifting.
Imagine winning the division and not interviewing your star player after because nobody cares what he has to say. He'd be the 4th or 5th guy I'd want up in a clutch situation.
I agree but Scherzer probably in bullpen role. I see Gausman, Bieber and Yesavage as top 3 starters and then evaluate. Maybe Bieber starts and Gausman goes 2nd but Yesavage #3.Yes to Scherzer, no to Santander.
The khakis would never let schnieder move him down, that's how it works when they might be made to look bad. This is why signing bo will be impossible. Bo is the straw that stirs the drink and he should have 500 mil in his jeans too. I'd have vladdy hitting 5th or 6th in clutch situations. I might even put lukes ahead of him, like that guy as a player.I agree. And the announcers will keep making excuses for him and when he flies out talk about how good the swing was. Vlad is a solid player but too sporadic and not clutch enough to be called a superstar so Schneider needs to stop treating him like a superstar and put him down in the lineup where he will get less at bats
On the positive he is solid in defense. When he threw to home to get the runner that was a good instinct and his arm is very strong for a first baseman.
Our best two hitters are Springer and Bo, not sure who is better but Springer has more power and gets walks so I vote for Springer. After that we can argue is it kirk, vlad, varsho or someone else?
Scherzer has made it an easy decision not to give him another year, he's finished.I agree but Scherzer probably in bullpen role. I see Gausman, Bieber and Yesavage as top 3 starters and then evaluate. Maybe Bieber starts and Gausman goes 2nd but Yesavage #3.
Satander never found his stroke this year and the playoffs are not the time to work on things with the hope of maybe returning to form.
His former team mate Justin Verlander is even more cooked than he is. He went 16 starts without a win for the San Francisco Giants. He's 43, he says he wants to return for next season.Scherzer has made it an easy decision not to give him another year, he's finished.
Mine:If they get Bichette back their lineup really is tough. Game 1 lineup if I wrote the linep card
Springer
Barger
Vladdy
Bichette
Kirk
Varsho
Lukes
Schneider?
Giminez
Gausman
I knew for certain Elly had more than 20 HR's, so went and checked up on your stat. The Cincinnati Reds are the first team in MLB history to make the playoffs in a non-shortened season without any qualifying player:
----hitting .270.
---hitting 15 home runs.
---winning 15 games as a pitcher.
---striking out 200 batters as a pitcher.
Regarding Bo = As of Sunday, he still couldn't take any full swings or face real pitching. He was unable to run. Did you see him come out when they got the clinching out. He was walking with still a bit of a limp.If they get Bichette back their lineup really is tough. Game 1 lineup if I wrote the linep card
Springer
Barger
Vladdy
Bichette
Kirk
Varsho
Lukes
Schneider?
Giminez
Gausman
He ended up with a slightly above average ERA of 3.85, and a FIP of 3.85, which showed his ERA was not based off luck. And 152 innings pitched. His former team mate Justin Verlander is even more cooked than he is. He went 16 starts without a win for the San Francisco Giants. He's 43, he says he wants to return for next season.
