Anybody who compares Kawhi's "intelligence" to Curry needs to keep in mind that Curry had all the advantages afforded by a multi-millionaire father.

Advantages or not, it is what it is, but were not talking about 2+2 here. I'm simply talking about his answers to basic questions like "how would you describe youself"? Answer: "I'm a fun guy, loves the game of basketball. I mean, I can't just give you a spiel on myself. You have to ask me more questions". Almost guaranteed if Steph Curry had the same education as Kawhi, he would have a better answer then "I'm fun guy that loves basketball".

Don't know where you dug this up from, but that was pretty bad. Now we know why he only had two hits...lol.
Kawhi is a fun guy.

There's no pleasing some people, you should do a radio show with Michael Rappaport, I'd listen...lol.

Update of an old Looney Tunes sketch.

Curry speaks very highly of Toronto. He talks about how much his family enjoyed their time here. Kawhi should listen to him.

I like Kawhi..... he is honest, sincere, focused and intense. Nothing against Stephen, but his fake smile or laugh everytime he gets a foul is slightly annoying.

I started a thread in The Lounge about Emperor/philosopher Marcus Aurelius, Kawhi is the living embodiment of stoicism. He's still bothered by his leg injury, yet he quietly perseveres. His calmness in the face of adversity has filtered into his team mates - that's stoicism. The Warriors got too many second looks early but that ended as the game went on. I hope OG gets to play, he's had a tough year and needs to enjoy the moment.

I wonder if Tim and Sid will have any voice left for today's show?

Kawhi is definitely not a smart person, just listen to interviews...lol. Then listen to Steph Curry's interview that you posted. Now that's someone who has a brain up there. One thing about Kawhi, is he doesn't seem to swayed by popularity which is a good thing. I think he really just wants to be in a place where's he comfortable, gets treated right, and has a chance to win. I definitely think he's happy the way the organization has treated him, and he gets an extra 42 million or something like that if he stays, so there's a strong argument it's not a foregone conclusion he bolts at seasons end.
Sorry BBL but I too beg to differ. Kawhi is very intelligent. If you were interviewed as much as he is, you would mumble too. I guess the reporters must understand what he says as I don't recall any of them saying "pardon" or repeating the question. Not a fan of the print press in particular columnists.

IN MASAI WE TRUST!
If you're a type of a 'glass half full' like me, you look forward to a championship parade in the city by the end of June. Really, that's all I care. Masai will win the 'bet' by then. Masai has delivered and I trust that he will do his best preparing his team WITH OR WITHOUT Kawhi Leonard. Life will go on if Kawhi decided to go home. Trust Masai he will make another splash trades if he failed to sign Kawhi. Having said that I think there is a 85% chance that he will stay.

I think the chances of Kawhi staying are better today than when they traded for him, not sure about 85% though. Hope you are right as he is a talented professional. He certainly has been great, not just for the Raptors but for Canadian basketball.

I watched the ABC telecast last night and really enjoyed it! Found it surprisingly unbiased, expected to hear a lot more about the Warriors but thought they did a good job of keeping it neutral.

Watched Raps in 30 this morning. Going to continue with ABC!

Totally agree. I was amazed at his basketball smarts, and he has that Lebron James memory of every play during the game. Worldly intelligence? I don't know, but what should we expect from guys totally focussed on a baskeball career and under 30 years old. You wont find many worldly PHd's either.

The Jays, who dey?

Toronto became an international city with the Financial meltdown. The global reach of the Raptors has been partially fueled by Drake. Kawhi is an international superstar, his reputation will only grow if he stays in Toronto.

guaranteed? If steph grew up the same up bringing that Kawhi had? You can't be serious...Some kids won't be able to handle the environment Kawhi had...it takes courage, grit and street smarts to overcome what he did...

Should KD even be thinking of playing in the final? Is he a FA after this season? So,why risk further injury and become a damaged product for other teams to sign him in the summer?

I don't understand the logic behind this so please chime in. Its been said that KD will sign with the Knicks, why would he do that? Why would he go play for a Harold Ballard prototype? Karma's a bitch, they didn't get Zion and Kyrie is getting the bum's rush out of Boston. So why would he do that?

I'm beginning to like Stephen A.
