I feel sorry for KD. Apparently, he might be out for months. Achilles injuries are one of the worse. (If only our civil "servants" had the same attitude as KD.)

No matter what anyone says, this season has been a huge success regardless of what happens next. Anything more is a bonus.
I feel bad for him too, happy for us. And did you see how media was all over trying to make look that fns were happy that he got hurt? Raptors got the ball when he was hurt so people were cheering that the Raps got the ball , not because he was hurt. I'm sure we're all happy that he's out, but nobody is that mean...just fucking news outlets

The NBA admits the refs fucked up in the last minute of game 5. Marc Gasol should have been awarded 2 free throws.

Actually, the refs have been fucking up the entire playoffs. Where do they find these guys? They better not screw up game 6.

It's a good thing I didn't have a wager on the game.

I guess if your were Steve Kerr you would have sent KD back out after being carried out too. They were on a run too. It was so obvious that Kawhi was gasping on the bench during the time out. Noone ever cares about the players. Its just a championship that people want to gloat about. Its awful how fans acted and how they are talking now too.

What on God's green earth are you talking about??? Your comparing a tired player to a severely injured player??? I'm not even sure I can make heads or tails out of your post.

All the super stars that played high minutes were tired but if your team is the one that's scoring, keep your foot on the gas. That time out totally changed the dynamic of the game. My statement stands, in 30 years of watching basketball I've never seen that before and for good reason.

Are you sure you even watch this game or should be posting in this thread? Aren't you the guy that said the winner of the Raps/Sixers series would get swept by the Bucks?

and by the way, that time out was "use it or lose it" at that point.....

So then lose it. Who cares? They had them on the ropes about to win an NBA championship. You don't take time outs just cause you have them. You take them when you need them.

I said the exact same thing to the guys at work today. When he hurt himself, he turned the ball over. Then Serge was at the other end and got fouled so people were even cheering more. It's a noisy stadium and I'm sure there was lots of confusion. Once people realized what was going on, they cheered him as he was now getting back on his feet. Maybe it was a shock to Americans that athletes get hurt in Canada, they cheer them when get back on their feet. There were a few fans waving and acting poorly, but that happens in every stadium.

A little touchy? You're right. 30 years of watching basketball on TV makes you some kind of expert. Far more knowledgeable than a guy who's coached in multiple leagues, at different levels, and now at the greatest stage. They really should consult with you next time. LoL. You've obviously never played the game.

Not touchy at all, but the first part of you post make zero sense, and second part of your post isn't much better. You don't have to be a basketball expert to realize that was a poor decision. Common sense should tell you that. You ever seen an NBA coach call a time out when his team had the momentum and were on a scoring run??? You answer should be no since it never happens. Now think about why. Nick nurse is an excellent coach and will be around for a while, but that was an extremely poor choice.

As for your KD analogy to a tired player, I have no idea what the fuck your talking about.

The refs and the NBA are owned by Las Vegas. They cleaned up on both sides of the bet on gm 5 I think. The Warriors was bet up to -1.5 before game time and the announcement that KD was going to play.
I am guessing his injury will not be too serious in the end lol

If you consider a ruptured Achilles "not too serious", then yes.

In Nurse's defense, one of the TV commentators said at the time that Leonard was "gassed" and needed a bit of recovery time.

What cost the Raptor's the game was poor3 point shooting.
If you can rewatch the footage of that time out you can see how hard Kawhi was breathing even after they came back from commercial. I question two of Kawhi's late game decisions; not passing off the ball when facing 3 defenders and instead putting up an air ball and choosing an iso for the final play but he's the guy who got them that far in the first place.

I expect Siakam to have his better game on the road this Thursday. He didn't really do anything special last night. I could be wrong but I didn't see him much on the floor in the 4Q.....
Game one looked like the warriors hadn't done any game planning for Pascal in the half court offence. They have adjusted well and have limited his half-court opportunities so many of his points since then have been on the break.

Obviously there were Leafs fans in the house, Raptors fans aren't known for stupidity]
Keep padding your back being a wagon jumper while you bad mouth and frame "Leafs fans". I'm sure you feel a sense of superiority now that you consider yourself a Raptors fan.

They're hypocrites, these people trying to make bullshit out of this story.......in the States they cheer when hockey players fight and bump into each other. (like they do here too)

The truth hurts eh smuddan. Leafs fans are known for driving away players, take the example of Nikita Zietsev. The fans get on him, he doesn't want to play for Babcock and he's tired of taking shit from Don Cherry. When is HNIC going to fire that toxic fossil?

I use to be a Detroit Pistons fan before the Raptors got good. Loved the Bad Boys, Ben Wallace's monster block on Shaq, in 2004, is still etched on my mind. I admit the Latrell Spreewell chocking incident soured me on the game but the Raptors have brought back. Supporting the Leafs is futile, they're going to have a weaker defense next year.

Like Fred, he was undrafted.
