The truth hurts eh smuddan. Leafs fans are known for driving away players, take the example of Nikita Zietsev. The fans get on him, he doesn't want to play for Babcock and he's tired of taking shit from Don Cherry. When is HNIC going to fire that toxic fossil?

I use to be a Detroit Pistons fan before the Raptors got good. Loved the Bad Boys, Ben Wallace's monster block on Shaq, in 2004, is still etched on my mind. I admit the Latrell Spreewell chocking incident soured me on the game but the Raptors have brought back. Supporting the Leafs is futile, they're going to have a weaker defense next year.

The one player Meta World Peace shouldn't have fucked with.

I just thought your comments reflect more on the type of person you are than on true Leafs fans. There are always bad apples in any large fan base but to paint a nasty picture on all Leaf fans is just distasteful, and just as classless as those who cheered when Durant was injured, especially from someone who has been
one of the most frequent posters on Leafs threads in this forum.

Ok but no one should question me on this. I've been a Leafs fan since Borje Salming was a rookie. I've endured the horrors of Harold Ballard and Richard Peddie, hoping that someday my loyalty will be rewarded - I don't see it happening. Maybe if Marner TOFTT, but it doesn't look like he will.

Ron McLean is pure class, he's been stoic in the face of an exploitative buffoon - remember Bob Probert? When I see arrogant losers like Doug McLean and Brian Burke, I change the channel. Now compare that to Inside The NBA. I removed the Artest vs Wallace brawl, didn't think it was appropriate.

Kevin Durant admits that he sustained a ruptured Achilles tendon, the Warriors owners and medical staff betrayed him. He underwent surgery and will be out of action for 10 months minimum.

ratings for the NBA Finals are moving up, even in the USA it's up 4% from last year. Basketball is becoming as popular as soccer internationally and the Raptors are playing a role in that. There are Jurassic Parks in 15 different countries with the biggest ones in Rome and Melbourne. The Raptors truly are the international pivot point for the NBA, something Kawhi should consider.

It's going in the opposite direction for the NHL. Ratings are down due to the Raptors taking over it's biggest market. The NHL needs an image change if it wants to compete. You can't have an 80 year old racist blowhard as the face of hockey.

Not so sure about that. The reason Don Cherry makes so much money is because of how many people tune in to watch Coach's Corner. Years ago when they renewed Cherry's contract, they gave him a million bucks a year. Pretty impressive for a show that's like 5 minutes a week. Ron MacLean on the other hand was offered half that, and was on his way out until they settled for somewhere in between. Then MacLean was pushed aside as they tried the George Strompo experiment, while there was never any doubt that Coach's Corner wasn't going anywhere. That should tell you how popular Cherry is in Canada.

before we put basketball ahead of hockey, better wait until next year and see what happens after all the hype dies down. I enjoy both sports but will watch basketball before hockey, don't believe that to be true of most Canadians. Right now the Raptors are the only Canadian team that is left and thus a bigger following than if a Canadian hockey team had played in the final game of the Stanley Cup finale.

The St.Louis Blues did it by winning the Stanley Cup for the first time with their franchise last night. It's the Raps turn to get it done tonight. Not good for my heart condition if I have to watch game 7 on Sunday! LOL
It would be fun if they had the Skydome and Scotia Place open for the public to watch the game tonight and party after just in case.

Game one looked like the warriors hadn't done any game planning for Pascal in the half court offence. They have adjusted well and have limited his half-court opportunities so many of his points since then have been on the break.
He scored almost 20 points in two games at Oracles last week. If he could duplicate that, he will get the ring! Siakam needs to get it going and so is D. Green. I actually want to see Green picking up his defensive intensity similar to VanFleet. Green was nowhere near either Thompson/Curry (can't remember who for sure) when Warriors put up a go ahead 3's for good late in the 4th last game.

Proof that stupidity runs deep in Canada and by extension the NHL bbl. Cherry is a ruthless man who's always been a consummate self promoter. The body count to "rock em, sock em" is too high, the NHL is dealing with it to make the game less brutal. Cherry got lucky, Probert could have died not long after his Grapevine appearance, he was totally shitfaced. CHCH cancelled that show due to its promotion of violence but Cherry got away with it. It's time for this dinosaur to take an asteroid.
