Sadly Oilers didn’t measure up in game 1 and lost 3:0. Looks like Stanley won’t be coming back this year. Big Cats players all wanted to win and it showed.

Florida is in trouble. They look like they've run out of gas. As long as Skinner doesn't blow it Edmonton is looking good.

That water bottle toss was classic!

One of the reasons I loved watching the Bruins lose was because how Neely reacted.

We may be witnessing the 1st comeback in a SC final from down 3-0 in our lifetimes. If this happens then a SC for Toronto can't be that far away. Right? ;)

After blowing 3-0 series lead and losing the cup, Paul Maurice will be fired. I mean how quickly the shine came off that guy.

Edmonton's PK has been spectacular the whole series. Their bottom six has looked very good. Particularly Connor Brown. Another ex Leaf who could be hoisting the cup. Like Vegas last season Florida has not been able to bully Edmonton. Even without Kane.

The issue I have is how long it is taking...16 days between game 1 and game 7 is too long, what's with the 3 game breaks a couple of times between games.

The flight time between Miami and Edmonton is almost 7 hours so travel is an entire day, plus they build in a rest/practice day.
Hence when they switch cities there are 72 hours between games.

The season takes too long. They should start the regular season late September/early October and finish by the end of May but it'll never happen. 25 owners in the U.S. don't want competition from the early NFL season and MLB playoffs both at the same time.

7 hours is not an entire day and they don’t need an entire day to rest… I bet the players would like to move it along quicker.

Jim Montgomery isn’t a fan of 3-day breaks…

I remember when the playoff would start they'd play the first four games in 5 days. Nobody complained, no decrease in effort or energy and the hockey was tough and intense.

They only stretch it out to make the season longer and generate more interest/revenue.
