What is it with East Indians and these long sticks? Every time you see the Indian or Pakistani police doing crowd control, they're using the same 10 foot poles to whale on the protesters. Where do these sticks come from!? Someone is getting rich making and selling these 'whack em' sticks, that's for sure! Now from the looks of this video they're being imported and sold to Indians in the US too apparently.....LOL!

I think you are over thinking it.... The fact that police here in Canada also have a stick which they call a baton.

I haven't seen a cop with a baton since the 2000's when TASER came out.

Also I been told and notice the sirens sounds are rarely turned on. Just the lights are on. They don't want to fill out paper work, so that is why the siren is not on.

It's one thing a kid tries to nick a choccie bar..but the brazenness of this bloke absolutely required he receive a significant attitude adjustment, which seemed to have been delivered. Let's hope - for his sake - he doesn't require further "therapeutic interventions" lol...

Ideally true. GCM (garbage can man) really deserves a few years in gaol to think things over.let other inmates deliver the beating.
However, if he was in Singapore, the caning he got might have been similar to what the shopkeepers delivered.
BTW, I was disturbed by the bloke filming just telling the shopkeepers to let it go, charge it to insurance, nothing you can do. As a society we have to ALL say "this is dead wrong" and advocate for this sort of unconscionable theft to be fully punished.
