Consensus and compromise in a democracy, is necessary and does not lead to poor results.

I believe the poll you were referencing was before Texas redistricted (August 29) and California followed Texas' legislature concurrently (August 21). Unlike ourselves, most people even Californians aren't following these developments until they are enacted and put in front of them.
The Polymarket betting started as early as August 19 with 70% chance of the proposition passing. The betting market doesn't care about early and I would say premature polling.
No offense, but I sense you need to celebrate this California proposition. I'm sorry I can't agree it was a great hard-fought victory, but as an olive branch I can say this was a good thing for Gavin Newsom. There is nothing wrong with that. He could be putting as many as five House seats in the Democratic column.
