I just found out recently that one of Chic's lead vocalists, Alfa Anderson, passed away in December. As great as the Nile and Bernard music is, the vocalists were fire. RIP.
I particularly found the vocals on this track stellar. "My Forbidden Lover"

This is a Luther Vandross cover of "Superstar" which I always thought was a Carpenters original but they too covered it. The original song was by Delaney & Bonnie (1969). I do love how Luther made it his own.

One of my go to albums for lovin' is Intro's debut LP from 1993. Their lead singer was Kenny "G Love" Greene. He had some kinda voice. Here they are in a live performance of "So Many Reasons" which was my favorite cut from the album

This is right up there with my favorite Mariah Carey tracks. The Bad Boy Records remix of "Honey" featuring Bad Boy artists The LOX and Ma$e. Puff Daddy would like to think he produced this joint but he didn't. It was in house producer Stevie J. Great sample of The World Famous Supreme Team's "Hey DJ". Mariah is stunning in this video, the best she ever looked in her career. This was in 1997 which would have made her 27 years old at the time.
