Looks like that CFL player is not a suspect at all:

I said it before on here. Something doesn't add up with regards to this case.

A lot of people are getting hyperbolic and are jumping to conclusions way before any hard evidence has been released.

Larsen is 50lb's heavier than the description of the man they are looking for. If he turns out to be innocent of this the Ottawa RedBlacks are going to look awfully foolish for suspending him and issuing that statement.

Not an accurate description. He has not been NAMED as a suspect at this time. I could be it's not him or it could be the police want to gather evidence before pressing charges
Read the link please before you post dumb stuff.

Cops are still looking for 3 suspects in connection with the assault — a black, 6-foot-4, 200 lbs muscular male with dreadlocks between 25 and 32 years old, a thin, white 5-foot-6 male — possibly with dreadlocks — and a white 22-to-28 year old woman, 5-foot-five, 180 lbs. with long, blonde hair
Larsen — who is listed on the Redblacks’ roster as 6-foot-3 and weighing 250 lbs. — has not been named as a suspect by Toronto police.
If they know who Chris Larsen is (and where he lives), why would they still be looking for 3 suspects??

Take your own advice. Them having not completed their investigation doesn't mean Larsen is innocent just like him being accused on social media doesn't mean he is guilty.

p.s. I know football players are big but this guy can't be 3 suspects. It's quite common for police not to lay charges on one suspect if they think they can get the others without having to make a plea deal.

As I said, I know of several cases where the police had identified one suspect but didn't act until they had evidence to nail all of the suspects.

You don't know any more than I whether Larson is guilty but you are just upset that there are more possibilities than you want to claim.

The first report said there were 2 men and 1 woman as suspects.

And now the latest report says cops are still looking for these 3 suspects.
That rules out Larsen, because they have already identified him. Plus they probably know where he lives.
If he was on the run they wouldve just named him as the main suspect.

I see you're having a hard time with this logic though

Cops clear CFL player in Hanlan's Point homophobic attack

The lawyer for a suspended Ottawa RedBlacks player tells the Toronto Sun his client has been cleared by police in an alleged homophobic assault that left a Toronto man hospitalized.

“He’s just happy that he has cleared his name on all fronts,” said Chris Larsen’s lawyer and former crown prosecutor Calvin Barry in an interview.

Barry said he spoke Tuesday to the detective leading the investigation into the assault, which is being examined as a hate crime.

The lawyer also revealed Larsen, 25, was interrogated by police at 52 Division for over an hour last Friday.

“They interviewed him and came back today and said he is no longer a suspect,” Barry said.

“At most, he might be a witness.”

Word of the alleged homophobic beating on June 5 exploded on social media, with many pointing the finger directly at Larsen.

“He was very saddened by the fact that everybody formed conclusions at the early stages,” Barry said

I like the system in which the suspects are only identified by the first name and the last name initial. It prevents premature hangings.

He was cleared of all doings but he also said he may testify
Position is he was an onlooker (associate?) of the one who committed crime

He was there (social media pics to prove it) but I also find it fishy he is not cooperating with cops (eg to finger the actual guilty party)

As for Redblacks all pro sports have morals clauses
Not much can happen other than players union posturing

More of your stupidity.

Do you think police clearing him today means that he was always clear?

BTW, you confirmed my statement that police often don't name suspects until they have people willing to testify.

Guys...where there's smoke there's fire. This guy saw something, knows something, knows who did it...etc. The story will come out
