Adult Friend Finder website-- does it really work?

Lately their ads caught my eyes so I went ahead and created an account but to do any communication or view full profiles it is asking me to pay to become gold member. I don't know it's a legit website or scam, by this I mean does it actually work or just have oldies and fakies on it.
Please help me with your experiences.

So true, I called them to have the charged removed and informed them that because of their unauthorized charges I was not going to renew. All of a sudden I receive an email offering me FREE 6 months....NO THANKS!! Like most boards, some members lose interest and log on once in a blue moon. Some websites have AMBASSODORS who will keep in touch with you only to lead you down the long and winding road to the point you need to renew your membership.

Based on info I gathered it only works for guys who are extremely handsome, is that the reason it worked for you or just the patience and consistency? I am asking cause I am an average looking guy and if it works only for the hot ones why would I waste my money.

Similar but different, I was glad when Facebook came along because it made Classmates.com obsolete. Same nonsense about only seeing certain profiles or levels of detail based on being a gold member. Good riddance to you, classmates.com!

Never tried that site but have subscribed to Ashley Madison and think its same bs...they hire women to have multiple profiles who just entice you to send them email and be charged for each. That being said, I have met two real women I hooked up with and was hot fun.

don't waste your time or hard earn money on Ashley Madison, the ads are NOT all genuine. Plenty of Fish, guess what?? you are the fish.

On the site yea.. Real life in person not quite.
Lying is necessary. Married but getting divorced etc separated but living together.. It's fucked. But then there's loads of chicks and women who are totally ok with being with a attached guy.. A few thoughts

It is so easy for a women to get a booty call, all they have to do is smile at any one of us guys, and we are thinking about taking them home. I think the problem with AFF is that women go to the site looking for a particular type of play friend, and there are so many guys on there pretending to be something they arent.
