I remember 15 of them. Because my parents were in their 40's when I was born and we didn't have much money I was exposed to things that really belonged to the generations before me. I've used a wringer wahser in the last year.
Adding to the list
Giving the operator your number when you made a long distance call.
Pick-ups with foot starters.
Column manual transmissions(3 on the tree).
Black and white TV.
Am radio being the only thing.
My parents actually had some 78's
Tube radios.
Metal oil cans.
Soda cans you had to open with an opener.
There were still some incandescent street lights when I was a very young child.
Road markers that burned kerosine.
S & H and Plaid stamps.
Ramblers( not know if Canada had cars made by American motors or not.)
Woolworths with lunch counters.
No McDonalds.
Every gas station being full service. Most of them where garages.

Meesh

It was VICIOUS!

How about Rocket Radios (no power, you attached with a clip to almost anything metal.)

Pez dispensers (yeah, they're retro now)

Plymouth Valiants with push button transmissions.

*Shuffles away with his walker.

Wringer washer - still got the scars on my arm when I ran it through the wringer. Mom had to hit the emergency release to free me.

What the hell were the name of those stamps you got at the IGA and could redeem for items at a separate store? Were those the "plaid stamps"?

My buddies and me tried to 'modify' a Rambler. Gave up.

Cheers,
Jack.

Stop already...lol.

canvas tents: went to a day camp somewhere on Trout Lake when I was a kid. They had these huge canvas tents they used for inside activites if it was raining or something. Still remember the smell and how hot they were inside if it was sunny.

rabbits foot: my first ever key tag/chain

jello car coins: nobody had a bigger collection then me.

clackers: my sister use to drive me nuts with those things.

superballs: use to bounce 'em as high as possible out on the road in front of my house. my Mom would yell out the window... "don't lose that one cause you ain't gettin another one."

Reminds me of when my older sister tried emulating how our mother used to grind her own beef in a manual meat grinder. Unfortunately she tried adding her index finger to it. A bit misshapen but she didn't lose it.

It's the wax used to keep the front of a crewcut or brush cut hairstyle standing up.
Check out old pictures of the Leafs from the 60s.
