Scott has got to go. Even if he could sing in tune, he is expressionless and not an American Idol. Not because he's fat....

Nikko "slightly" redeemed himself.

Constantine...is finding his niche...Simon and Randy are right, he's no rocker, even if he fancies himself one.

Anwar....bland...boring....

Vonzell...will make it through to the next round.

Carrie Underwood - will make it through to the next round.

Bo Bice....I thought he did great with what material he had to sing....I do like that "David Clayton Thomas" growl he has....Dunno where Simon was coming from...

Loved the dig Simon got in at Ryan...."next time...we're not letting Ryan Seacrest pick show tunes"...or something like that...I think these guys really hate each other...

If it had to be show tunes...why tunes from such old Broadway shows?

Tonight's show was a snoozer. I will admit I do like musicals, but I didn't like many of the songs performed tonight. It was hard to believe, but Federov managed to take a gay genre, i.e., showtunes, and somehow make it even gayer with his performance and song choice. But I still like Federov more than fatboy. If Scott isn't gone by next week, I am done watching this show.

I tried to resist it, but I am starting to get Constantine's appeal. He is playing the "angsty but sensitive dude" card, and obviously there are enough love-sick teenaged girls in America to make it work. Like the judges, I thought Carrie's performance was good, but the song was dreadful. Vonzell, Nadia, Nikko, all fine. Anwar was good. I don't know how Bo could have not sung a song from 'Hair'. Come on, that would have been a natural.

Not much of a prediction, but Scott or Anthony go tomorrow. I would be hard pressed to predict who the final member of the bottom three will be.

This weeks show was beyond boring.

It's too bad that more blacks don't watch and vote for AI. The only explanation I can come up with for putting Nikko and Vonzel in the bottom 3 is that most of the voters are white and looking to support their own.

Anthony should really be gone by now, but because he's hot and getting hotter each week he'll probably stick around for a week or so more.

It's scary at how much better Fantasia is when compared to this years contestants. Her performance tonight was super sexy in the mix to the max.

I think Fantasia needs a little more stage experience. What was all that jumping up and down during the song(no she wasn't dancing)? Those screams gotta go, that's NOT singing.

Another somewhat perplexing week... I am no fan of Nikko, but he didn't deserve to go this week. I was so sure Scott's fat ass was finally going to be gone, but no, he got a reprieve. I don't get Vonzell in the bottom 3 either, but there is my "diversity" theory. I think ideally, voters like to see a nice mix of finalists... male/female, white/black, etc. Last year, I think they were down to like the final seven or so, and three of the seven were black women. Sure enough, black women were two of the next four to go, so that at the end, there was a white woman, a black woman, and an Asian woman. But who the hell knows, really? I still can't figure out how Scott manages to survive. Is he getting the tubby vote? The fat religious vote? Who knows?

Excuse me but that is a rather blantantly RACIST remark. In one comment you have cast dispersions on both African Americans and caucasians. It's sad that in a country like Canada that people still have biases like this.

C'mon you don't think racism is alive and well in every country?

I don't think he was being racist just because he was speculating that voting ,in what amounts to a popularity contest , may be partially along racial lines.

Secondly he was speculating about the voters which are American . He may be wrong in his analysis , however, as the last two years of Idol have proven . I think the same thing happened to Fantasia last year . She was in the bottom three a couple of times and ended up winning so "go figure".

Thirdly if you cast dispersions about everyone then you are treating everyone equally and may not be racist. He forgot to mention the jew ,the wop and the cracker chick with the big hooters though

I think entertainment and sports are perhaps the only areas where Americans are relatively color blind. I don't think many Americans have a problem with cheering for a black athlete or voting for an African-American singer on AI, at least far fewer than those who would vote for a black president, let's say. If anything, I think African-Americans would be more likely to rally behind a black performer on AI, than Caucasians would rally behind a white performer. In the last two Idol finals, a black man beat a white man, and a black woman beat a white woman. I think those results speak for themselves.

As for African Americans not watching Idol, I think that is an illogical conclusion. AI is the highest rated show in the U.S., and although I do know that the top shows among African Americans are not always the top shows among the general populace, I don't have any reason to believe that African Americans don't watch AI.

Guys, can we cool it with the racism thing? Please. There's plenty of other non-sense around that we can play the racism card with, but can we lay off Idol. I like this show a lot and whats more I like reading the opinions of this thread. For Geez sakes what the hell does racism have to do in this competition. Are the KKK and the Aryan Nation focusing there efforts on dialing for Whitey? I think this show generates controversy in the runup to the final night because favourites are eliminated earlier than expected. The show wouldnt be as exciting without this controversy. Many people have mixed opinions of who is the best, who is good, who sucks. Even here some like Constantine ugh and some dont. Some like Nadia who imho is dynamite, and some dont. But you can bet in the end the best person wins. Kelly Clarkson in season 1, arguably Ruben in 2 (Clay a close second), Fantasia in season 3 (LaToya went out early, but in the end Fantasia won.) And this year will be no different. We're quibbling about who the best of the worst of the best are. I think that we can all agree who the best 2 or 3 are. Carrie, Bo and whoever else you prefer as long as it isnt that fat fuck or Cockstantine.

Because BET really starts to promote AI when it comes down to the final 5 weeks, and the whites also feel guilty about selecting an unworthy white over a deserving black.

The whites vote for colour during the first half of the competition, but they just can't go through with voting for a white to win the whole thing when they know a black deserves it.

I agree. Constantine has really nice eyes, looks like he'd stick around in bed and spend some qulaity time cuddling with you and he's white. This is definitely a recipe to keep him in the competition for a while.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Anthony's not gay, he's just a geek from the Ukraine which makes him all the more strange.

Just finished viewing the results show and there's nothing really surprising about the bottom 2. Although I dont understand Vonzell. Fantasia was a bit over the top. Her voice has become raspier. But I totally agree with her that these last competitors have to get ugggggllllyyy. I think she had a lot of problems with the high heel boots.

I think it would cool if we had an AI terb party for the finale. We can get Sheik to get Jonathan to close down MI for a couple hours while we enjoy the AI finale on their big screen tv.
