I bicycle about 1.5 - 2 hours every day when it is warmer. It keeps me healthy and clears the mind. I am just a casual biker. At about 40-50 KM. a day that is about 6000 - 7500 km. a year. I must have over 75,000 km. on my bike.

Bikers, and advice or suggestions?

I'm a casual rider, sometimes during the week, mostly on weekends.

Suggestions?

- Always wear a helmet
- Use the brightest front and rear (strobe type) LED lights you can find for night riding
- Have a bell
- Wear a reflective vest at night
- Don't ride on the sidewalk
- Don't run stop signs or red lights
- Signal your turns
- Never pass a car (on the inside) signaling to make a right turn
- Never assume car drivers can see you

Practice the things I've listed above and you'll stand a much greater chance of surviving on the roads. Probably why I rarely encounter problems with cars when I ride.

Hey Bear, don't give him the gears, and don't derail the thread.
Bear was all upset when he heard that I did his great leader Rubby in by giving him a karate chop and pushing him into his own lazer beam device, but it was not true. Rubby faked his own demise. He is still around.

Allowing people to scrap free content is bad for TERB. ( That gives me an idea for a thread )

I love mountain biking at dusk, it's a great way to recharge after a hard day at work. Never leave home wihtout your helmet, glasses, and a buddy.
