But the Force Five Series had some awesome cartoons..... as someone mentioned Grandizer but the one with Jesse Dart which was basicallly a sci fi version of the Journey West was awesome too.

think the above listed were all from the same company. Hasbro...

there was one about a sheriff that had a horse that transformed into a two legged man with a shotgun...

surprised alot of them didn't even get a movie made in theatres..

The scary thing about Thundercats is that I caught a couple of episodes last year on the Teletoon Network and I was shocked at how developed the scripts were. They had story arcs between episodes, character development of villains that stretched over multiple non-sequential episodes, and an overall plot that I had absolutely no recollection of from back in the day. In an era when cartoons were basically one-shot throwaways where nothing in any given episode affected the next, Thundercats was more like a soap opera (albeit a very adolescent version).

The horse with a gun was named 30 30. Thanks to that tidbit I google it and found Bravestar!

Lest not forget Turbo Teen. The guy could turn into a red corvette under direct sunlight and turn back into a human if splashed with water. Lol

Are you guys sure the shows you are naming are from the 80s? and not 90s? I remember samurai pizza cats and I know that had to be mid 90's
