I'm the OP. Thanks for sharing everybody. I felt odd about the age difference but it's nice to hear that it's not so abnormal. I agree that the work situation is a lot stickier. I should mention that she's only here on contract so perhaps toward the end or afterward is a better opportunity. Of course there's a chance she could find someone in the meanwhile but hopefully we can keep in touch and at some point I can get my chance.

Just quit your job first, then date her. If you do it the other way round odds are you will find it almost impossible to get a new job.

Also, consider that she may be seeking to renew the contract for another term or be hired permanently.
