Why would women reach their sexual peak long after they've lost their fertility? Perhaps older women are more comfortable with sex, and have come to terms with men's unrelenting need for it, but there is no evidence that 40 year old women desire sex more than younger women. One would expect the opposite. It could be a misattribution error on your part. Your experience with young women has been negative, but it is not because they don't desire lots of sex or are not good at sex. It's simply that they don't desire sex with you.
There will come a time when I'm old and unattractive to hot young women. I dread the thought but it's inescapable. We all get old and ugly. You're already there, blackrock. When that day comes for me, young women will mock my old ass, just as I did to my elders during my youth, and they to theirs in years past.
Maybe you've answered the question yourself. Sexuality hasn't much to do with the ability to reproduce. SO's I known are clearly more aroused near their periods, but even the most recent, who's not yet experienced 'the change' is just fine by me and she's in her late 40's. As I have a sister in law who had her first at 48, surprises do happens.
Since I've only had four girlsfriends older than I, and it was fun at the time. The rest has all been younger, not that there has been hundreds. The SO that I've had the longest relationship was eight years younger and it was good. Very unscientific, I know, but somehow I don't think unique or unusual.
There is research supporting both claims, just like research on the existence of Jesus Christ. I believe my personal history as it fact, not fiction.
As far as getting old and ugly, speak for yourself. There are those men who are just as hansom in their later years, just in a different way, much of it internally. I can't lift 200 lbs over my head any more, nor can I run a sub 5 minute mile, so I get others to do that.
