Another massive bullpen implosion leads to another humiliating loss. Athletics score 5 runs in the 9th to take opener. Err, Athletics are not really the sort of team that scores 5 runs in an inning, unless the pitching is so bad that it STINKS!!!

Almost? At least Francisco has 8 saves in 9 opportunities.
Too bad he was nowhere that good last year, otherwise I'm sure we'd have kept him.
Look at his record late in the year, it was a lot better than when he came off the IR.
I'm not sure what we have in Santos, for a closer, I thought the ChiSox let him go pretty cheap. Time will tell.

Here
For me, it is getting very frustrating to watch... for management and the players it must be excruciating!

The BJ's are playing well enough to be 20 and 10 even without 3 of their 9 cylinder offense (Bautista, Lind and Rasmus) firing. And the "revamped" back of the bullpen is even worse than last year!!!

At this rate, last year's dismal bullpen record is in danger of being eclipsed.

As I said before, time to sacrifice some virgins or hire some voodoo magicians! Either that, or make some substantial changes.

I really feel for A.A.... what else can the guy do?

Oh! Ward and Henke, where are you?

I heard exactly zero people complain when they let him go.
I did... only because it meant all the Jays had to show for Mike Napoli - a low-cost, great hitting (and underrated defensive) C-1B-DH - is the 50th overall pick in 2012.

As far as Francisco the pitcher, meh. He's just another guy. They might want to start looking at the bullpen coach - since Pappy became the pitching coach, the 'pen has been brutal.

another blown save:frusty:
The Tigers traded Brandon Inge because his bat went dead...and maybe Cabrera being at third had something to do with it. Looks like his bat just came back to life. Batting against the BJ bullpen will do that. :(

We got that closer! Casey looked great in the ninth. Too bad they didn't bring him in last night. Cordero back to the setup role and Casey now the official closer. Hope he continues the way he pitched today.

Lind demoted to 8th to-day. If Lind can't hit, he doesn't bring anything to the ballpark. He is not great defensively, he doesn't run or throw particularly well. He needs to hit to stay in the bigs.

I don't think he's all that bad defensively. Why does he need to throw well...he plays first base? Maybe taking the pressure of the clean up spot off him will help.

I think both JB and lind are pressing too much right now. I am confident that JB will pull out of it in the next couple of weeks. I am worried that this may be another year of spiraling down for Lind though.
