Mets next, lets hope the winning continues!
I was upset with myself last year as it was the first time since the team came to town that I did not go to a Jays game.

I picked up a pair for Sunday afternoon to make sure it doesn't happen again and then I find out it's Morrow bobblehead day. Woo hoo.:cheer2:

Here
why can't the Jays play like this on most nights?
Because, as Yogi Berra said, "90% of baseball is half between the ears."

You can see by their faces and body language when -- and if -- their heads are into the game. Often they are not [I think of Rasmus, in particular!]... and I say that is primarily a failure of management!

Only in the NL park.
It's fair in an AL park where DH's rule but when that AL pitcher has to go to bat it is certainly ridiculous.
I for one am not a fan of inter league play.

It takes away from the mystery of facing an unknown opponent in the fall classic.

But then I'm a traditionalist to the core.

2 Hours later...it is 14-1 Blue Jays. Jays seem to be owning the NY teams so far this season :)

What's the deal with Gomes? They can't send him back down if he continues to do this. Where do you put him when Laurie comes back? Does he play first and Edwin goes back to DH?

What happens with Lind? Despite his hitting woes they say they want to keep him because he's a lefty.

In the AL park, the NL gets to sit their pitcher and gets an extra bat in the line up. They love it.

Damage control after the '94 strike that should be discarded.

AL GM's work to make an AL team for their league.

Gomes is versatile, catch, first, third, DH. Lets see what happens when the scouts get a good read on him. If he continues to hit he is a keeper, although I think the original plan was 4 games. Lind has to show he can hit before ant decision can be made on him. If he hits in Vegas he will probably be back, if he doesn't, release, trade, minor leagues????

If Lind starts to hit in Vegas this is going to be an interesting dilemma. Even though as you mentioned Gomes is versatile, you would want that guy playing somewhere on a regular basis and all those spots are filled. I'm thinking him and Edwin would have to split/ share DH and first.

The stats don't bear that out - the AL teams' superiority extends into NL parks. There are simply just more high quality teams in the AL.

NL pitchers are virtually just as impotent as their AL counterparts, even with all of their "practice."

He's now blown 2 out of his last 4 save attempts.
Hey shack, you've been watching Francisco's stats on a daily basis to refute my point, haven't you? Just kidding.
Enjoy the game on Sunday. I'm not really into the bobblehead thing, but if there were a Hazel Mae bobbleboob day, I'd be there for sure!

No. I was reading the paper and in the leadup blurb to the Mets series they mentioned that stat and it made me recall the post on FF.
