The Mets have Taijuan Walker who was a Jay in 2020, I thought he pitched really well here, Always wondered why Jays let him go, he was a good solid starter.
I saw one 2 days ago that had the Jays ranked 10th.
It's all speculation. Nobody fucking knows nothing.
TSN certainly knows nothing. Their ticker at the bottom has been running this all day: “Jon Gray to be Jays starter on opening day”. Oops.

Jays signed Dexter Fowler to a minor league contract. Not really sure I understand the point of that...but whatever...

I'm relieved that the Jays didn't go for Michael Conforto, only Bolton would be happy with him in Toronto. Who's Dexter Fowler?

Jays just can't seem to avoid spring training freak accidents, Stroman stepping on a sprinkler head a few years ago, Ray falling down stairs while holding child last year, now Jordan Romano sprained his ankle stepping into a hole in ground when out walking his dog, luckily it's not serious.
It wasn't Stroman that stepped on the Sprinkler. It was Michael Saunders. Don't forget the bats that fell on Dalton Pompey's head giving him a concussion.
Jays trade left handed hitting catcher, Reese McGuire for another left hand hitting catcher, Zack Collins??????

Collins has an option remaining, so does not have to go north with the team. Can be optioned to Buffalo where McGuire could not be optioned without clearing waivers. If Jays opted go with 2 catchers once the rosters shrink, it saves them losing McGuire for nothing or sending Kirk back to the minors. Collins was a top hitting prospect, so maybe the coaches can unlock that potential. Collins is more bat than catcher, where McGuire was the opposite.
3 more days until season opens with Texas Rangers with Marcus Semien, hope the fans boo him big time and the Jays pitchers feed him nothing but breaking balls!
Why would we boo a guy who was nothing but a professional for us and had the best season of his career? He is also regarded as a great teammate and mentor. He exercised his right to get paid and good for him. The Jays were not going to match that term and nor should they have. Texas will likely regret the last 2 years or more of that deal.
I hope the Jays fans in attendance show some class and give him a strong round of applause for his contributions last season. I'm sure Bo will be thrilled to see him.

Nate Pearson has Mono and will be out quite a while, I have a feeling he's gonna be the new Devon Travis, often injured: groin injury last year and now mono.
