Interesting. Will he get picked up? Minor league contract? Were the Jays & J.P. to go to arbitration, it's expected he'd get around (not earn) $2,800,000 for 2014.
He'll find a spot in baseball, he's a catcher that has power. Not a lot of those around. He'll most likely be near MLB minumum ($500,000).Interesting. Will he get picked up? Minor league contract?
Just signed with BostonHe'll find a spot in baseball, he's a catcher that has power. Not a lot of those around. He'll most likely be near MLB minumum ($500,000).
Do you have a source for that? A.J. Pierzynski signed with Boston, didn't hear about them signing J.P.Just signed with Boston
Is it me or did the Tigers not get much for Doug Fister?
Couldn't the Jays have swung a deal there?

Or unless the experts in talent evaluation, i.e. the general managers and scouts, know the value of the players involved better than we do, as shocking as that may seem.Unless their AAA affiliate is heavy w talent?

My faith is restored.Shocking?
No, impossible!
We, here, know everything.
Jays also traded Brad Lincoln to the Phillies for another catcher, Kratz plus a pitching prospect, Rasmussen.Jacoby Ellsbury signs a 7 year, 150 million $ deal w NYY. And Saltimacchia signs w Marlins.
I can't see the Rays trading Price to the same division. I don't mind having him, but will prob cost us 2 A prospects at least.I just got an alert from one of my Blue Jays phone apps (lol) that the Jays are amongst the group contending for a trade for David Price...
The Mariners are too however - and they seem to be improving their roster right now (they signed Saltalamakia (sp?) and apparently trying to get Cano ....
Saltalamacchia signed with the Miami Marlins, not the Seattle Mariners.I just got an alert from one of my Blue Jays phone apps (lol) that the Jays are amongst the group contending for a trade for David Price...

Oops- dumbdumb typoSaltalamacchia signed with the Miami Marlins, not the Seattle Mariners.
Unfortunate, but hardly a surprise. He was never in the Jays' long term plans. I really like Rajai and felt he transformed the pace and dynamic of the game each time he got on base. If he played a whole season, I feel he could put up Rickey type SB numbers.Jays will not have speedster Rajai Davis anymore he signed 2 yr. deal with the Tigers.
