You might be somewhat correct.I have a hunch that Borje went out medically assisted. The later stages of ALS are horrific, he probably didn't want his family to endure it.
Farewell Gigantic Hero.

No mention of his cocaine use? What happened to Salming (and Hunter and Gehrig) is larger than hockey. It is larger than sports. It is about the randomness of life. It is about not sweating the small stuff. Deep thinking, I know.
Which can be said about almost every thread on TERB, i.e., it is not as important as the randomness of life. It still does not make your post about your dead friend any more relevant to Borje Salming. What happened to Salming (and Hunter and Gehrig) is larger than hockey. It is larger than sports. Somebody has a high opinion of his own intellect and wants us all to know.Deep thinking? Really?
In that case, if you have nothing to contribute to the topic at hand, say nothing instead of making a post that hijacks the thread. We all know Salming was a great defenseman, possibly the best in Leaf history. No need for me to state the obvious.
Thanks for that contribution to the thread. He touched many of us, here.Definitely a sad day with the passing of this great hockey player and man. Remember watching him play for years with Toronto. One of the greats that will always be remembered. He was was able to pass on his own terms.
God bless his family, but know he is hurting any more and is at peace.
