Tributo A Tom Jobim: Vou Te Contar(Wave) / Fotografia / Outra Vez / Vou Te Contar

Just heard this tune on SKY FM.
It's from the CD, Elis 'Especial' (1968) track 2.
Elis Regina sounds simply divine on this 5 minute medley.

Could only find it on LastFM which is in the process of being turned into a 'pay site' and seems to be farking up the playing of full songs as it did in the past.

Did manage to download the full song flawlessly and is the same song heard on radio. Elis does a fantastic job on this Jobim medley.

Cris Delanno - Smooth Jazz Cafe Vol.9 - 14 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love (2007)

Just got her 'Classicos de Tom Jobim' CD which is pretty good.

Great thread. While I am quite familiar with most of the the jazz world, Boss Nova not so much. I understand the musical structure of the rhythms etc. but not so familiar with performers and great performances. The links are excellent.
Thanks

Went back to Jazz and Bossa Nova due to the dreadful state of Pop & Rock music today. Most current Pop & Rock is poorly written and played by mediocre artists at best. With internet radio you can listen to the latest Bossa Nova being played in Brazil which IMHO is pretty good stuff.

Here's another, luv that latin Jazz:
