Caipirinha - Swing Out Sister

... the very SOS from the 80s. A very up happy track, oozes Bossa and 70s influences. Video not original but damn funny and quite pro.

Also a band from the 80s ...

Half a Minuite - Matt Bianco ( Basia on vocal )

Waters of March, all time classic Bossa Nova hit

You have good taste in Bossa Nova Aardie....;)
Has anyone mentioned Antonio Carlos Jobim's Águas de Março?

With subtitles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3oNSFQVzNM
Was mentioned back in post #11:

Águas de Março
- Tom Jobim e Elis Regina
Here the two masters did a little more up tempo version of the tune.

FWIW IMHO, as good as Tom e Elis were on this hit, I believe this cover by Jane Monheit topped them and Jane does it in English. Jane won critical acclaim for her cover of Waters of March, here. Her CD with that tune on, is an excellent CD also.

Jane Monheit - Waters of March

Jane captures the joy of the tune, Jobim intended, great song!......

Jardim de Inverno - Rosa Passos

Live in Madrid, 2005
Wonderful song... very intimate, sensual performance from Passos, just her and her guitar.

Insensatez - Rosa Passos & Ron Carter

Yes, THE Ron Carter. Absolutely sweet rendition from the two.

Primavera - Rossa Passos

Different than her usual strip down, intimate and up front songs, this one has fuller instrumentation and almost an Euro feel to it. My fav version of Primavera.
