What's cable? Is it true that starting next week you can pick and choose your cable channels and only pay for what you picked?
You have to ask your father. Just kidding. Saw where the Internet and Netflix has reduced the cable population. What's cable?
Bell Fibe is the best. They recently added Netflix as an app, so I switched to basic package, kept the Movie Network (which includes HBO and Crave), saved myself 50 dollars a month, and don't need Apple TV. Next week they start broadcasting in 4K for those of you with new tvs. Far superior to Rogers in both quality and price. Is it true that starting next week you can pick and choose your cable channels and only pay for what you picked?
I don't watch movies (no patience) or older TV shows so Netflix and Movie Network doesn't do anything for me. I do watch sports and the news.Bell Fibe is the best. ^this.Fuck cable and satellite . I have a digital antenna and get 21 channels. There are about 6 that are useless because either non english, shopping shit or bible thumper crap channels. I do have Netflix and with that I have more to watch than when I had satellite.
It is an old fashioned site for getting videos, but it cost a lot and you had to watch what the site picked for you, and the videos started playing at preset times. You couldn't pause and there was no way to share or like the content. What's cable?
Thanks for your post. I'm ok with all the comments. No need to limit the discussion to just one point. The original post was not asking for a debate on what service is best. He asked if anybody had some helpful information for him.
If you have some valuable information regarding that question please share it as I am also curious.
If you just want to bitch about the cost of cable and the many viable alternatives why not just start a new thread?
I need my live sports and live news (includes business). These are "must haves", not negotiable.Live sports and live TV are a different story,
Friend of mine recommended this, he's used it for about 7 months to date:I need my live sports and live news (includes business). These are "must haves", not negotiable.
How much would this cost?Assuming you have a really good internet connection. Min is 20 MBPS
Get outta here. Next thing you're gonna try and tell me people spun plates of vinyl and dragged needles across them to hear recorded sound. It is an old fashioned site for getting videos, but it cost a lot and you had to watch what the site picked for you, and the videos started playing at preset times. You actually had to buy a special computer just for that site and you couldn't view it on your phone, you could only watch on screens connected to the site's special computer, which also cost a lot. This was because the site relied on its own private network, from before the internet.
The site tried to add some of those features in later years by releasing upgraded special computers for the site but the underlying technology was just too outdated so it wasn't as easy as modern sites and still was just too expensive.
Not exactly. CRTC is giving cable providers until March to introduce their 'skinny basic' plans and December 2016 to offer the full Pick & Pay option. Is it true that starting next week you can pick and choose your cable channels and only pay for what you picked?
Not sure what exactly is the "skinny plan" but my friend is getting free over the air channels using an outside antanna (he lives on the 17th floor). Not exactly. CRTC is giving cable providers until March to introduce their 'skinny basic' plans and December 2016 to offer the full Pick & Pay option.
You can rent good content online through iTunes, Google Play, or in the US Amazon Prime. Don't after posting the above tell me it costs too much....People who cry about price of cable (or other essentials such as cell service) need to get a better paying job (or their ass back to school)
Netflix is ok but certainly not a replacement for real TV
Things like HBO, Centre Ice, or NFL Sunday Ticket you need cable to watch
