That's probably why Trump is about to steamroll Carney. One guy is playing a game, the other guy is dead serious.

But what does it matter to you? If Carney could sign Canada over to the US, you'd make up an excuse to support it.
Um, no, I would take up arms actually.

This guy is lost. Negotiations have been botched and Trump is going to undress him most likely.

What surprises me the most is all the "allies" he was suppose to make deals with have secured deals with the States.

Of course Harper knows whats going on and has balls.

If it ever happens, I wish you all the best.
It won't. It's just that simple. And btw the individual nations in the EU are not happy. This deal may not stand, but may be a stop gap to wait him out.

When our "deal" is announced it will cover a few new things and the USMCA will be the status quo. If Trump wants to tax his own people he can go right ahead. And our general boycott will be far more effective in increasing domestic production without causing further inflation.

Here
When the other person is part of the opposing party and during campaigning Carney said he was the one that guided Canada through a recession, Yeah some questions need to be asked.

I don't think it necessarily makes him weak, just probably out of his league.
Looks like Carney is putting aside politics and putting the country first by asking a seasoned politician for advice. As far as you saying he's out of his league? I don't think so, he done a great job so far certainly better than Poilievre could have.

Great job doing what?
Brought the provinces together to drop trade boarders
Negotiated with European countries to supply natural gas and oil
Opened new trade deals with China
Has made Trump look like a complete idiot in trade negotiations
Negotiated with other countries to supply aluminum and steel by passing the states and keeping workers employed. Google it

I know it won't happen, but you'd flip flop if it did.

Trust me, it won't be just the EU nations that will be unhappy. Carney missed the opportunity to bury this and now Trump will slowly back him down.

Don't worry, Carney's money is still safe.

Carney is negotiating with a guy who made Canada spend a billion on it's border because a gram of Fentanyl crossed the Canadian border.

A fucking billion down the drain.

What we need is someone who has balls. Who could say a big fuck you to the fraud that Trump is and sit and wait until stupid MAGA realise, if ever they do, that they are being fooled.

How is he in a bind? Where do we even start? Trade deal with Trump, All his Allies have cut deals with Trump, Getting approval for Building projects, then finding the financing for it, He has no budget, He's lowered Revenue but has increased spending, Many public sector workers will lose funding, possibly their jobs too, His investments are a conflict of interest, He increased military spending before even knowing what to do.

After all that, he hasn't even mentioned things like Immigration, Housing, Crime, Inflation, National Debt, Health Care, Provincial inequities, National security.

He doesn't have enough elbows for this.

Cripes really? He is the one who negotiated USMCA. The EU just said the 600 billion promise isn't birth the paper it's written on. Japan is laughing talking about reading the fine print.

And these aren't actual deals, just announced frameworks. I've been saying for months the shorted deal the USA negotiated was 16 months. That's how complicated they are. Even using the USMCA as a framework ot will take that long to sort out ours, if he is looking for real changes.

He doesn't have the patience, expertise, and is already losing his political capital, just trying to defend Israel and The Epstein files bullshit. A bunch of his gained voters and even some of his base are starting to turn.

Trump has some rounds left but he is running out of wind.

Come back to reality. Unless there is a joint effort between nations to protect each others interests against America, No one can win, because they're too big to take on single handed.

I thought Carney was connected all over the world. What happened to that?
