People post in the other Champions League thread. It looks better because of less pages.

It would have less pages if you STFU :)

So here`s the scoring system. (and I suggest we keep score until the final).
Everyone gets one point for each correct pick. If 1 or more persons are tied then we go goals scored for and against. If its still tied after that then I dunno WTF to do

Then you go to most goals scored.

Champions League - Leg 2

Just a friendly reminder that Leg 2 of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 starts tomorrow. AC Milan vs ManU and Chelsea vs Barca are the big ones. Does anyone think there will be major upsets during the second leg ? I remember during last year's CL knockout stages, when Deportivo upset AC Milan ... that was a shocker !!!

The most famous whistleblower on the planet, Pierluigi Collina, will be officiating the Barca vs Chelsea tie after Chelsea's coach kept whining about problems during the first leg. Also, Robben could be back for Chelsea ... when he's around, the Blues seem to have more flare. More good stuff to look forward to on Wednesday also.

I missed the first half of the Chelsea Barca game. I heard Chelsea was up 3-0 and the half ended 3-2. WTF is that?? Chelsea has to get the motor running if it will qualify for the next round.

Here are my picks:
(The ones in bold are my updated choices)

- Arsenal
- Bayer Leverkusen
- PSV Eindhoven
- Juventus
- Barcelona
- Inter Milan
- AC Milan
- Werder Bremen
Damn, only got 1 out of the 3 picks correct .... Barca and Werder Bremen are both out, but AC Milan made it thru. Hopefully, I will have better luck with my pick's for tomorrow.

The Barca vs Chelsea match was a thriller ... great second goal from Ronaldinho. ManU got completely shutdown, and Lyon took Werder Bremen to the cleaners.

Show me a league or a team in the CL where there isn't a veritable UN of players?

Beautiful Goal

Ok guys I dont pretend to be an authority on soccer and to tell you the truth I only get a chance to watch some of the games when I am on some cardio equipment at the gym.

But tonight I witnessed a goal that sent chills up my spine.

Ronaldinho, second goal, was magnificent.

The control and power, without a run-up (pretty much from the knee down only), off the outside of the foot, inward curve in probably the only place possible to score considering he was pretty well marked at the top of the 18 box (I think thats where it was)

No surprise he is the footballer of the year.

I'm 2/3.

That Barcelona/Chelsea game was amazing, greatest 1st half ever. In the 2nd half though, as much as Barcelona controlled the entire game, I always felt Chelsea was going to score...and it pains me because I hate Chelsea, if frigin E'too doesnt miss that yawning cage it was ova, but alas Chelsea is through and now I have to hear how great they are even though they didnt deserve to go through. On the other hand, Barcelona couldnt capitalize on their 41 shots over 2 legs and Chelsea did.

I hope Chelsea runs into Milan...either Milan

OK, OK....I admit the goal was great....but come on....Shevchenko deserved the player of the year award not Ronaldinho. How can Shevy win the Euro Player of the year and not the f-ing World player of the year???? He plays in a far superior league (Serie A) and much tougher defensively than La Liga. If Shevchenko played in Spain he would easily score double the goals, ditto for the Premiership too.

I'm 2 for 3 so far too, although Barca should have won in my opinion.

Go Juve and Inter tomorrow!!!

Keep it real,

I know the Inter game is next week cause of Milan playing at the San Siro today. I'm just hoping they advance as well, they look like they will though. I'm more concerned with Juve, but I think they can pull it off.

I hate Chelsea too. They won't win it all. Guaranteed if they face Milan, no contest.
