Closeups on the video show that he may have had the gun with him, its unclear. But the FBI images of the gun also show the scope incorrectly mounted and the posts about trans engraving look to be nonsense as well. I doubt they will catch the killer, likely he's left the country now.
But I'll let the gun experts on the board comment on these.
This was not fake. It was a well-planned execution. I think, among the turmoil of Trump's involvement with Epstein, and more specifically because of Kirk's complete control over the young conservator, this was a job by the old gop guard. By doing this, they suddenly have all the young conservators back.
Kirk was already threatening the leaders to move on the issue that the old guard did not agree with him. He was warned a few times. But Kirk had his own agenda. Not anymore.
p.s. Trump's assassination attempt was not fake; it was staged.
Definitely seems like a well planned execution, from the old guy distraction arrest to the route planned for escape.
The FBI thinks it might have been a foreign attack, but at least one country has said they didn't do it.
Update, alleged suspect is in custody, apparently someone who knows him ratted him out.
