I think your answer is too abstract and politicizing.
I'm specifically addressing the legality of owning this specific gun in Canada.
It seems to me Canadians argue for more U.S. gun control every time there is a shooting.
It's not enough to say we Canadians can own that gun, but we can't take it off our property or outside legalized hunting areas.
An assassin doesn't care about the law.

I'm extremely anti-gun, and even I think the US is beyond repair on guns. No government will ever succeed in removing hundreds of millions of guns in the country at this point. I remember a tweet after Sandy Hook that summarized it all for me - when beautiful little white children were mowed down, America did nothing. If that couldn't get the US to wake up, nothing would, and it's been proven correct time and time again.
