I have to say he does have a point. He's been showing up for work on time, he's only said crazy stuff and partied with pornstars, but last time I checked thats not grounds for dismissal or to break contract.

If you had to fire every American for drug use in their private time there'd be no workforce left

Yup, exactly. It'll boil down to whatever clauses he has.
But I do recall him saying on TMZ he didnt have a morality clause, so CBS cant breach contract on that.

Also Chuck Lorre has been antagonizing Sheen with his vanity cards on national TV, that will count for something in court

I read the letter.

His lawyer makes several good arguments.

I think they might have a strong case and win, or it'll probably be settled out of court

Well technically, Chuck is a nickname for Charles and the Hebrew word for Charles is "Chaim" and is pronounced "HY-eem".. This is a very common name among jewish men. So common that this is where the racist word "Hymie" comes from.

In Sheen's use though, I think he is definitely using it in a derogatory sense as I understand that Lorre was born with the legal name "Charles" not Chaim. Some have said calling someone born with the legal name Charles, Chaim/Hymie is like calling a spanish guy born with the name George, "hor-HAY" (Jorge)

Chuck Lorre's proper name is, indeed, how Sheen referred to him.

Doesn't seem to bother anyone here that (at least according to Sheen, who has apologized for referring to Lorre by his proper name), Lorre has often referred to him as "Carlos Estevez", Sheen's own birth-name? So once again, the Producer can dish it out but can't take it. Not unlike all too many on this board.

The network is losing far more money than he is by canceling these shows and from the looks of it, it appears that the network (not Charlie) is potentially in breach of contract here. Charlie is suing and he could walk victorious.

I was thinking of that last night watching one of the reruns. Actually, I think he's brother in the show is a much better comedian and really deserved the Emmy he won, and the maid is funny as hell, not to mention the kid, great comedic timing for such a young fellow.

I was thinking that the show can continue without him, the other actors on the show really make the show, the gorgeous girls that Charlie always boinks, well they're a dime a dozen, can get them anytime, and Charlie is replacable IMO.

I suggest Mathew Perry, funny Canadian from Ottawa, to replace him, he'll be great and much better. FatOne I don't think the show is done, it's still funny, heck I still laugh watching second and even third reruns of shows.

Finally, the real star of the show are the writers, they're unbelievable, not Charlie, he is easily replaced and should be for his own sake, he really needs to get help.

Now that is a FINE idea,,,,,damn, that would make an extremely funny show. Matthew Perry is amazingly funny in my opinion and I think he would be a great fit with the other main characters in 2 2/1 men. Now, how to let the producer know?

IMO, you're seeing the trees, but not the forest. Charlie has behaved so weirdly and disruptively that you have to assume he is on drugs and the drug tests are rigged. (Now whoever heard of faked drug tests in the movie industry??!! Well, it's one of the standing industry inside jokes.) He is probably in breach of contract by failing to show up for work in the past few weeks. And I am guessing that his contract has a "no conduct unbecoming" clause in it, which he has consistently and spectacularly broken.

And the network makes money on other shows too. So WTF for them to lose Charlie's show?

I think Charlie Sheen should get aids also. He has some serious problems that he could use help with. Jared used aids to help him lose all that weight. Sometimes a guy needs some some aids to help him through a tough patch. No need to go through things alone.
