But its the cons that keep raising the price of power.

The Cons are the ones providing subsidies to make things affordable. Ontario is still suffering from the bad contracts the previous Liberal government left us with.

"The reason that we're spending that much money is because of 33,000 bad contracts that were signed by the previous Liberal government as a result of the Green Energy Act, 20-year contracts that were well over the market price," Smith said in an interview.

I can answer that in part or whole. And it’s something too many Liberal voters here ( and in the electorate) don’t want to face and admit.

They don’t because for lack of better words they only see what they want to see, rarely travel outside the GTA, unless it’s somewhere sunny and warm, or their million dollar cottage…or care only about themselves, so long as it’s not them feeling the pain. For a good example when has Frank or many of them ever said, just once.

“We need to do more for someone else”. Create jobs or build infrastructure or expand public transit outside the GTA….

And in turn the politicians in Queens Park, or Ottawa don’t care. Because it’s the seats in the GTA that matter. Win the GTA>>> win the election. Hence all the vote buying, or doing little for the less fortunate outside the GTA, while throwing all kinds of money at the GTA which we all know is a Liberal Stronghold. Those same voters then don’t understand why the vast majority of immigrants, our youth from small town Ontario or Atlantic Canada flood the GTA and more do the same. Then rhey whine about house prices, the cost of sanctuaries, grid lock, the homeless flooding the GTA too.

No doubt some live in denial, or stick their heads in the sand. But I could link and reference all kinds of things, all kinds. From hydro rates and gas plants to Carbon Taxes, killing fossil and jobs in Alberta, ramming wind farms down rural Ontarios throats too….To corporate welfare for GM in Oshawa /Ford in Oakville and more I could name, while others go tits up or whither on the vine, to road tolls up to and including some rather famous public service unions. Who while “everywhere” are seriously heavily weighted in the GTA…

They also “deny” why so many talk of separation or call them cityiots or the centre of the universe and the source/cause of division. Etc and so on. And the usual response from them is

“it’s them not us”
Angry unfocused rant.

Where do you see anger? It’s called calling a spade and spade. Your reply is or can be called.
Typical Liberal denial
Typical Liberal deflection
Typical GTA resident who never leaves the city
Typical GTA resident with his head in the sand.
Typical liberal that doesn’t like history or facts or logic.
Typical Liberal not even thinking and realizing you just literally made my case, proved my point.

Its still an unfocused rant followed by ignorant insults.

List the issues you think are the problem, note whether they are federal, provincial or municipal.
List the possible solutions you think will fix those issues.

Try to write a clear post.

I didn't turn red. I'm just pointing out how Ford took advantage of Chow, because Chow was desperate for the money, that Toronto needs!!
Druggsie admits that "he got hosed", "taken to the cleaners" and "took it up the ass" from a little, old, visible minority, female senior citizen born in a foreign country.

Now, if he hadn't fucked "it all up" with his "born to be nothing but a corrupt right-wing conservative private sector bukkake receptacle" ethos, he would not have found himself in this position of taking it up the ass from a little, old, red commie female mayor.

Premier Doug Ford freely admits Queen’s Park signed a “really one-sided deal” with Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow to help the cash-strapped city.
Speaking at the Ontario Real Estate Association conference Tuesday, Ford said the $9-billion accord, which will upload responsibility for the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway to the province, will free up more money for city hall.

“It was a great deal. I’ll tell you, it was a really one-sided deal,” the premier told association president Tim Hudak in a fireside chat at the Westin Harbour Castle one day after unveiling the landmark arrangement.

“We gave them everything they needed, but that’s what you have to do,” said Ford, referring to his government’s decision to give the city $7.6 billion in capital relief by assuming responsibility for the highways, boosting housing funding and committing $758 million for 55 new subway trains.

“You have to have a soft spot for Toronto and always have to support the city I love and that I grew up in and … we’re there to support them any way we can,” he said.

Seems to me that a mayor who only succeeds when she fails isn't worth keeping around for long.

I think it's great that he rescued Toronto from decades of incompetence and poor fiscal management don't you?

So you think it’s great you’re fleecing the rest of Ontario as always? You do I hope have some small smidgeon of economic realities and that they too, pay taxes on 400b debt?

yet you whine and cry incessantly about housing and more. And that’s two now, bragging about you fleecing the rest of Ontario. An enlightened, so called champion of the less fortunate you’re not. What you are is a greedy, self absorbed, self serving antithesis of actual liberals.

Nah...just more proof that cutting the size of council didn't mean the end of humanity as was predicted.
Hopefully Ontario Place will also be used for a casino at some point now that the pesky Toronto council is out of the picture.

Housing is provincial.

DoFo cut rent protection and destroyed the Landlord Tennant board.
DoFo cut development fees that are forcing cities to raise property taxes up to 50%

Chow just threw her hands up at the Eglington LRT. That's Metrolinx. You know who runs Metrolinx?
DoFo

DoFo actually wanted to build housing and you didn't want him to, and now are blaming him for the housing crisis.

Why don't you pick what you want and stick with it rather than flip-flopping.

Needless to say DoFo could cure cancer and you would still hate him for not curing the common cold.

Your rage is misplaced.

BTW Tell us who was premier when the Eglinton LRT was planned, funded and started.
