Cuba is a beautiful country. It’s cheap, safe, the people are friendly and it has a very unique colourful history. It’s also one of the few places on earth that’s not Americanized. There’s no McDonald’s, KFC and Blockbuster and stuff like that. It makes it very unique. It’s also like going back in time with all the old cars and stuff. The best thing about Cuba is the women. I assume that’s why you’re posting your question on TERB so I’ll attempt to explain about the women situation.
Cuba’s a great place for a single guy. The women are beautiful, sexy and into pleasing a man. Almost every lady can be had if she’s not already with a guy. It’s a poor country and the women have are looking to latch onto a tourist to deliver them from poverty and repression. Also, it’s a male dominated society as in most other Latin countries. The men treat their women like shit and screw around. That’s considered “macho.” I’ve been witness to several little soap operas going on with many women alone at night crying. There seems to be a disproportionate number of women compared to men in Cuba. I’ve been told that it’s because Cuba used to be involved in exporting their revolution to other countries such as Angola and Central America and they’ve lost a lot of young men. They’ve also got a problem with the exodus of people to the US. They’ve lost 15% of their population to the US. There are more men that leave then there are women.
We Canadian men generally treat our women much better. These reasons make a Canadian male a very sought after commodity.
Because of this, you can live like a king in Cuba, complete with your own harem if you want. I’ve done that. I’ve tried to get as many women in 1 week as humanly possible. I prefer finding 1 really nice one and letting her be my g/friend for the week. I prefer the quality experience rather than the quantity.
The Cuban women will spoil you for the women here. They’re eager to please you and they’re really good in bed. Ever since I’ve been traveling to Cuba, I have to say that I find most of the Canadian women here to be selfish, self centered, controlling and demanding. They seem to think that because they have that hole between their legs that men have to do whatever they say and put up with their shit. A lot of women here are fat and ugly. It’s uncommon to see a fat/ugly woman in Cuba.
Many single women in Cuba are either prostitutes or opportunistic prostitutes. The difference is that the opportunistic prostitutes will sleep with you for money but they’re thinking long term, to get you to fall in love with them to get them off the island.
Also, the LE cracks down on prostitution so any woman seen speaking to you in public is suspected of being a prostitute. The penalties are severe and the women are terrified of the LE.
As far as I know, you as a tourist don’t have much to worry about from the LE as long as she’s of legal age. Age of consent in Cuba is 15.
One more thing, the women are EXTREMELY jealous. I’ve never met such jealous women before. You've been warned.
You need a place to spend time with the women because you can’t bring them to the hotel. There are places called “casa particular” where the owner of the home will rent a room to you in some out of the way place for this purpose. Seek out one of these places.
Do’s:
Get out of the tourist areas and try to meet the locals. The Cuban people are very friendly and will invite you to their home. I recommend experiencing the real Cuban away from the well traveled tourist areas. This is where you will meet the girls.
Check out the night life. You will also meet girls at the discos and parties on the beach.
Use common sense. Cuba is a very safe country but just watch yourself.
Bring tons of money. Cash is king. Don’t expect them to take credit cards or travelers cheques.
Bring old clothes, soap, deoderant, children's tylenol and other stuff. Give that stuff to the locals and you will make alot of friends. They really appreciate that.
Don’ts
Don’t fall in love with them unless you really want to and know what you’re getting into. The women have an agenda. They want to get their hooks into you and get off the island. Always keep that in the back of your mind.
Don’t let them talk you into something you don’t want. Remember, you’re the man, you’re the king.

Fidel recently and again banned overseas Cuban nationals from bringing personal goods into the country for families and relatives. Now whatever the local need, they have no choice but to buy expensively from the government run outlets .... very short on materials, they are.

How much cash have men stuffed that hole with? I mean, that deep, wide, loose, dark hole! Sometimes some men even get drowned in it! How sad!
Apparently, many of the girls and casa owners are very paranoid of the police these days.

Just got back. Be sure to review the World Sex Guide message board. Worst sex vacation I've ever taken. If you are young, good looking, uninhibited, and speak Spanish well you might have a better experience. But there sure are some gorgeous women there!

I want to see Cuba
Like "Prongo" above, I'm planning a trip to Cuba later this year.
As a single guy, I'm not just interested in sitting on the beach in some all-inclusive resort. I want to appreciate the weather, of course, but I also want to see some interesting sites, do some interesting things, and (of course) enjoy some of the night-life and companionship that this Island nation is so well known for.
Personally, I'm not looking fo a series of one-night-stands but would prefer to find a woman who could keep me company for several days, help me better see the sights and find the good places to eat, drink, and party. Ideally, I would also appreciate getting a feel for the cuban culture and getting away from the tourist-intensive areas.
Are there worthwhile places to stay in Havana for a Canadian tourist or should I stick to the beach-area resorts and take day-trips to the cities?
I've heard that there's a lot of pressure on the local women to stay away from tourists. Does that mean that you can't be seen in public with Cuban women without getting them in trouble? Some of the descriptions above make it look like you just have to meet them in bars and take them for quickies in some rented room...that does not sound too appealing to me.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, the primary reason is for the women, ok plus to travel, music and relax, golf, its the big 40 this year and I am very VERY single. I love the music and will definitely want some goregeous women with me at the clubs and well privately. She will be pampered like a princess. My friends tell me a suffer from "White Knight Syndrome". would be nice to get some appreciation for a change.
Spoke to a former Cuba Resident driving Cab in TO and he indicated to just take a flight, and ask the cab to take me to a tourist house, I take it the "Casa Particular" or is this more along the hourly rate rooms. He indicated if I do not like it, sufficient variety exists for accomodations. His decription of the ladies that they are like little poodles. LOL. , I see your point with the cultural differences.
Definitely I want to avoid the Touristy areas, I do not want to meet the same people I see everyday on Toronto or similar situation,
I call TO "the Freezer"( refering to the dating seen). Las Vegas trip, got stood up on a blind date, found out later she was from TO, nearly wasted Circe de soliel tickets, took out a long time known dancer instead to the show, American Girls are friendlier. TO Girls do not want a nice guy. TO is a dead zone for the single guy ( add nice too, but very jaded). Here Here Cinema Face you comments on TO women are on the money.

Speaking of Holes, Golfing will be on the agenda,too . Love to teach the lady golf has 21 holes in golf, 18 on the course and her three back at the Casa, LOL.

I have recently returned from about 4 months travelling in Cuba and want to warn prospective visitors about the unprecedented police clampdown that is going on over there. Cuba is not the same place that it was even a year ago, and it is certainly much less fun.
Firstly the number of cities where Cuban girls are not allowed to stay in the same room as a tourist is growing. Las Tunas fell to this new rule recently and many long-term ex-pats moved out. Other towns which definitely do not permit girls with tourists are: Vinales, Varadero, Cayo Coco, Trinidad, Ciego De Avila, Sancti Spiritus, Villa Clara, Camaguey, Las Tunas, Holguin, Baracoa, Guantanamo.
The only cities that I know accept Cuban girls in a Casa Particular are Havana, Santiago and Cienfuegos. Possibly Nueva Gerona too, but I am not positive of this. Havana and Cienfuegos operate a strict 1 girl rule - you will not be able to change your partner.
Furthermore there are very few girls who dare go to your room because they are registered and the police may round them up later and send them to prison. This is growing at an alarming rate. I know many girls who have been given 1 and 2 year sentences for having no more than a handful of boyfriends over a period of several years.
There are possibilities for renting illegal rooms for a few hours if you just want to have sex, but the days of GFE lasting several weeks, living together are largely over. Also thes illegal houses are becoming expensive.
In all areas the probability of a girl being arrested by the police if seen with a tourist in public areas is greatly increased. There was a time when the police would not hassle girls that were with tourists, preferring to hassle those that were looking. This is over !
In Cienfuegos here are now more or less weekly police sweeps of the discotheques and bars. Unaccompanied Cuban girls are being rounded up by the police just for being in these places.
In Havana the majority of the discotheques have been closed. The only one that remains open to my knowledge is the Rosalia de Castro (it is full of expensive professional hookers). The Conejito is still open and is also full of expensive professionals.
Most of the bars now have some means of discouraging Cubans from entering such as 3-5 dollar entry fees (mostly reclaimable against drinks). Bars which used to be lively and packed with people know are empty bar a few Italians who are being forced to talk to EACH OTHER because there are no girls.
All told Cuba is a very less attractive destination now, relative to other destinations. I was intending to go back for another 6 months but I don't think I will bother. If anyone knows of areas where the clampdown has not bitten or has relaxed I would love to know about them.
