I am on the ever ending search for deodorant. I have tried the hippie-dippie products from grocery store - organic,, no aluminum, fair trade etc…. They either don’t work or dont like the smell. The products in drugstores are terrible. Axe, Old Spice and Mennon all small too strong - like a sweaty jock strap with Lysol added. Some leave marks on clothes

I found one commercial product - degree ultra clear. It is supposed to last 72 hours. It works - no doubt about that. The smell isn’t the greatest - it starts to smell like a locker room jock strap with the scent of Lysol. Just not as badly as the other drug store products.

is there any brand out there that works and doesn’t make me smell like a 12 year old boy? Something with a mild scent of rosemary, juniper or bergamot?

Thx

Have you tried Tom's brand? It's the healthy one I use. On the expensive side but I have noticed they packaging lasts. Usual 24 hours easy. Very low smell. I get the mountain spring.
Thanks for letting me know. I have seen Tom’s brand. Never tried it.

Tom's as I recall does not even look like the rest, so you need to scan a little wider on the shelves when shopping for it.
I recall it was in a round brown cardboard tube, with the logo on the tube cap.

You push a simple cardboard plug in the bottom to advance the stick up as it is used up.
Packaging so effective and non plastic waste generating you would think other brands would have moved to it.
As to the product itself, it worked well for me.
I had about 6 tubes but they are now all used up.

I dumpster dive, so usually use whatever Shoppers tosses out.
I have yet to figure how deodorant expires, but they do toss 12-20 tubes at a time occasionally.
I am more guessing distributors are not paying for shelf space.
Or have introduced something new and need to toss what ever took up those needed 6" of display space.

So unless the stuff I find stinks in a way that offends me, I really dont look again for 2-3 years.

You really dumpster dive? Is this a personal hobby? This may deserve a thread of its own.

I use No Frill's lemon juice. I have in a small travelling bottle which I transfer to.
If I go see a doctor after work I will apply some on the arm pit or below waist, use the bathroom stall.

Odor is semi or all gone.

Deodorant roll ons can leave a residue.
It is kind of gross.
I have also found that it irritates my skin.
And I don't sweat that much anyway.
I like cologne better and wear it all the time.

The best deodorant I own is this crystal stick thing I got in Thailand.. Its amazing.. You run it in water and then rub, soooo sooo good!! It just stops the sweat smell no really scent or anything, but helps you get rid of the BO. Idk if you can find it online? Goodluck haha

I usually use the Dove Men Care deodorants. Sold at any pharmacy, inexpensive. Scent is mild and unobtrusive, and it works. (tho also claims it works for 72h, which is horseshit obviously, but since I shower minimum every 24h, it’s not an issue either).

I believe that Everyman Jack deodorants may have scents similar to what you are looking for, but I’ve never tried them. I have used their body wash, and liked the scent.

You can find them at the pharmacy here! I am sure it's available close to you too.

The OP could explore deodorant *for women* (I hate how these products are so gendered. I don't buy the more-expensive pink razors anymore). The smell might be smoother, and there are more scents than rose-and-coconut.

Haha.
That is so true.
I use Dove moisturizing soap which is labeled women's soap.
WTF is women's soap?!
It's soap! lmao.
Exactly! The white and pink package for women vs the black and dark blue one for men. I used a deo *for men* for years just because I liked the smell of said product. I know small companies or the more natural products are going more neutral, as it should be.

It is just a marketing/branding gimmick because they can charge more for products labeled women's products. Aka the pink tax.

Thanks for the tip. I visited a couple of drug stores today and found the fragrance-free one. I bought two.
