Long time ago Men's health had an article about this, their advice tip 1 cent, and leave your phone number.
I have done it twice in my life never got a call.
I started doing it because the first time I complaint, the manager comp our meal, which I don't believe it's fair to the restaurant. Why should the restaurant suffer a loss because if a person having a shit day or being a bad server.
The other thing I did once, and I have to say I enjoyed when I saw her reaction.
I order muscles in white wine sauce, I hate marinara sauce and they had both. Made it very clear to her that I wanted the white wine sauce. It was a very fancy restaurant.
Well she shows up with muscles in red sauce. I politely told her that's not what I order.
She tells me it was very rudely, so much for the customer being right, but if I want it change she will have to charge me.
No problem I told her, I was paying for everyone and knew the bill would be well north of 400.
I tip 10% and deducted the 21.00 from her tip, which I wrote all the details on the back of the bill.
I heard herd at her station with the others, who fucking those that?
I told her a customer you were rude to and wasn't happy with the service.
Side note, why do we tip waiters, but never Tim's or other fast food workers, they work way harder and their job really sucks.
