I used to really like Henley's music. Both with the Eagles and solo. In addition he is a very intelligent and interesting guy.
That was until I watched the documentary, "The History of the Eagles". Fuuuccckkk me, he's a piece of work. And so was Glen Frey (more so actually) The 2 of them have literally fucked over every musician in Eagles over for money. They have reduced Timothy B Schmidt and Joe Walsh to glorified session players and even though Don Felder was a partner in The Eagles they wanted him to reduce his cut to next to nothing just before they headed out on tour. (Needless to say he didn't.) Huge arguments, fucking everyone over for money, so much for "all for one and one for all" being the le cri de guerre of rock and roll. Eith Henley and Frey it's more like "what's mine is mine and what's yours is money too."
The one thing I will say is that with Henley, he thinks about what he's going to say, whereas with Frey, the dude has no filter ar all. He thinks it and it just comes out of his mouth.
Great doc, check it out, can't believe the Eagles allowed it to be put out.
