Evil ....

Evil .... In Any Shape Or Form ~~> Oj Simpson, Paul Bernardo, Timothy McVeigh, Osama Bin Laden, HITLER , etc SHOULD NOT Be Glamourized Or Condoned In America Or On Our Televisions. We Glamourize What We Despise Most ! We Have To Live In This World So Why Do We Allow Crime & Genocide To Infiltrate Our Very Existance ?
(Media Plays a Big part Shoving this Down our Throats & We Allow It )

We Need Reminders Of War Crime Atrocities To Educate Our Young & Remember Those We Lost, NOT To Elevate/Gloritize Persons Responsible For Such Unspeakable Acts

Tragedys Happen Every Day. We Should Honor The Dead NOT Glamourize The Killers & Offspring !

Agreed! So I am wondering why you left George W. Bush off of your list of evil people who have perpetrated war crimes.

Oops. This should be in the political forum.

Also annoying are movies and TV shows like The Sopranos that try to make Mafia gangsters and other scumbags look like working-class heroes

OJ Simpson and Hitler in one sentance?

And Osama Bin Laden evil? Well, I suppose if consider rich guys that give up all the comforts of the affluent lifestyle and use their resources to fight for what they believe in using the only tools they have at their disposal evil, then yes, he fits.

I'd consider a guy that starves millions of people through economic sanctions in more than one country and then when that doesn't work lobs cruise missles on targets 1000miles away from the safety of a bunker in Washington evil. Almost 20,000 civilian casualties since the invasion...staggering compared to the relative handful killed in NYC.

But that's just me.

“Change the channel”
- Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt's advice to Iraqis who see TV images of innocent civilians killed by coalition troops.

But remember athelete, those civilians were working in the nerve gas factories back when Osama bin Laden was the ruler of Iraq. And those civilians of Iraq flew those planes into the twin towers...

fortunately they caught him in a cave and now those civilians are like Americans because they can vote so everything is OK now

Bin Laden = evil

Saddam = evil

Those who stand between evil and the innocent, barbarism and civilization, tyranny and liberty = the good guys.

But I suppose moral relativism has buried common sense along with morality.

Do me a favor and explain to me in small words what makes Bin Laden evil. I'm curious to hear this...

Bin Laden:

-believes that Israel must be destroyed

-believes that America and Canada are living incarnations of Satan ("great Satan" and "little Satan", respectively) and must be destroyed, along with Western Christian civilization as a whole.

-believes that democracy, individual rights and freedoms (especially sexual freedom and the equality of women), and the rule of law are abominations that must be destroyed

-believes himself to have the right to kill anyone who disagrees with him, and takes it upon himself to commit mass murder in order to realize those goals.

Small enough for ya ?

Bin Laden's Manifesto of Evil

Read for yourselves and decide.

Sample quotes:

Bin Laden said:
It is saddening to tell you that you are the worst civilization witnessed by the history of mankind:

(i) You are the nation who, rather than ruling by the Shariah of Allah in its Constitution and Laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire. You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms Absolute Authority to the Lord and your Creator. You flee from the embarrassing question posed to you: How is it possible for Allah the Almighty to create His creation, grant them power over all the creatures and land, grant them all the amenities of life, and then deny them that which they are most in need of: knowledge of the laws which govern their lives?

You forgot to mention the fact that he sends others to do his dirty work for him. If giving one's life in praise of allah is so wonderous a thing to do, why wasn't OBL flying one of the planes? hmmmmmmmm.

Despots that they were, at least Quisai and Oday Hussain stood their ground and died fighting rather than scurrying off like a rat and going in to hiding.

If you're referring to the sanctions against Iraq, I think Clinton was President for most of the time that those were in place so yes, I'd agree with you Clinton is evil

Oh...and before you start whining about cruise missles being fired into Iraq..Clinton did the same thing in Afaghanastan and Bosnia without UN approval so I guess that makes him a war criminal too

What is evil?

If Saddam was so evil, why did the US make him an ally? Why did the US give him agricultural credits and material to make CBW?
I wouldn't necessarily say the US made him an ally, they just held their nose and chose the lesser of two evils between the Ayatollah and Saddam.
Saddam blew it back in 1990 when he got greedy and marched into Kuwait city. The dispute was over a small oil patch of land in northern Kuwait. He even had the U.S.'s blessing to take it by force if necessary.
There is no doubt that Saddam is evil. The atrocities perpetrated in Iraq under his watch are clear evidence of that, whether it be gassing Kurds, having opposition leaders assassinated or jailed, forbidding Shiites from practicing their religion etc.........

Osama has fought on the ground for many years. the US administration provided him and the other "soldiers of god" with $$$$ and stinger missiles to fight the godless russian commies in afghanistan. The US empowered Osama. osama has not only provided funding and training he has been on the battlefield against seemingly much stronger foes and defeated them. u don't know your history. bin Laden has been covered in blood, sweat and tears in his commitment to his beliefs (as warped as they may be -as warped as ALL fundy religious views are). U can never say the same of bush. He sends thousands to die and kill while keeping his hands baby-soft.
