The worst thing about this is the Virginia Democratic Party is intent on trotting him out there to stand for election in ten days. So it's basically an institutional blind spot. Because I suppose there are some Virginia progressives who are like where's the problem. The progressives would be upset if Jay Jones was pulled from the ticket.

Ehhh, too much process. Basically, you are throwing up obstacles that allows anyone who can make it into the country to essentially live here with minimal deportation risk. Unfortunately, for there to be deterrence there has to be risk. I'm not buying into this idea that illegal immigrants need to be investigated and convicted in order for deportation to occur. The act of living here illegally with documentation is enough for deportation.
I have casually known people who have have been deported. It's was fairly innocuous because they knew they didn't have a legal right to be here and they returned home. They get back in line for a visa. Perhaps they come back after a few years.
You see how that works. If on the other hand you say there will be a tacit amnesty unless you really do something outrageous, illegal migration waves will be an never-ending problem. Look, some of this is all idealism through a Canadian lens. In recent years, I have known a lot of Europeans who have come to understand and appreciate Trump's immigration policies.
Your counter lacks some seriousness because you didn't even suggest a minimal requirement for local law enforcement to cooperate. Shouldn't local police turnover illegal immigrants who are caught committing crimes?

Is it really the mandate of the CBC to "cancel" any group by confronting those who do business with such groups? I thought they were supposed to be a news organization who left activism to their acolytes!
Personally, I don't want any of my tax dollars going to the CBC to research and dox any citizens, no matter what their political stripe or dogma, even those who I strongly disagree with. If groups are breaking some law, let law enforcement handle it. In this case, I didn't see even an allegation that this group was breaking any laws.
