I assume you live in the GTA and don't leave it much but there towns all over America that are still predominantly white and being a far left winger you assume they must all be cross burning KKK towns hanging black men from trees- they're not. What's pretty obvious? It simply appears to be a group of children from affluent, Christian families. It's not unusual for Christian groups to lack diversity. On the flip side, there are many, many Black Christian groups.

So why wasn't Perkins backed by the Democrats after her inappropriate comment? Why didn't the progressive wing of the party overwhelmingly stand behind her?
And that is exactly point, it was totally besides the point. Whether you agree Perkins' statement was reasonable or not, a reasonable thought can be completely inappropriate in the moment.
