Rafael Leao wants to be paid like Lewandowski, as the Yankees announcer says, "see ya".

Alex Meret has been Napoli's unsung hero this season, he deserves to start the Azzurri Qualifiers next week instead of Donnarumma.

Leao is very good, we'll have to see how much Milan is going to give him. I hear PSG is willing to pay very large for Kvara. 120 million Euro Napoli paid 20. Today Kvara was very generous he could've scored, but passed over the ball to Dombele so he could get his first goal of serie A.

Meret is very good, they'll have a good fight against the English.

Roberto Mancini left Mattia Zaccagni at home for the 2021 Euro, he's always been unjustly overlooked. Mancini can't ignore him now.

Euro 2024 qualifiers start this week. Italy vs England. France vs Holland. Etc. (Which i will not be watching cause enough is enough)
In addition to domestic leagues, knockout competitions, Champions League/Europa.
Then there is training locally and internationally.
How much can be extracted from the modern footballer before their body succumbs? Insanity

Prince the EPL schedule is intense, in Serie A they get the holidays off on Christmas and Easter. The EPL schedule doesn't let up for those events.

The Gumbas podcast says if Nicolo Barella was playing for Napoli, they would win the CL. Stan Lobotka has done a massive job in Fabian Ruiz's place, I wouldn't write him off. Currently Lobotka is still in the CL while Ruiz (PSG) is out.

Nigerian Zorro may have remained a journeyman if he stayed in the Bundesliga, sometimes it's all up to chance.

I've always said that Patrick Vieira should be Inter Milan's Coach, he was instrumental in the NeroAzzurri winning the Champion's cup in 2010. Question is with Inter's financial problems (The PRC is a paper tiger), does he even want the job?

His son Ronaldo Vieira plays for Torino.

Italy sucked against England today. Truth is that England is a very good team and I'm not surprised they won. Hopefully they'll still be able to qualify. Its the first time England won in Italy in 60 years.

Nagelsmann fired by Bayern because they are second to Dortmund by a point in Bundesliga.
Being in quarterfinals of Champions league doesnt count. Brutal.

To be replaced by Tuchel who was former Dortmund, Chelsea manager

England were much the better side in the first half and should have scored four goals, while Italy barely had a sniff at goal. Do not know the Manager said to the players at half time, but it surely worked as Italy came running out of the traps and should have earned the share of the spoils. But the Referee was trigger happy with the yellow cards for "time wasting", resulting in England then being down to ten men after that red card to Shaw. He first received a yellow for time wasting and then made that ludicrous tackle deserving the second yellow. England have a deep squad but I was surprised with Southgate's team selection. Cannot understand how Kalvin-Phillips was in the starting lineup as he was out injured for months and barely was in the starting lineup for Man City. Maddison would have been a better choice. Anyway, that Declan Rice was a standout player on the pitch and even opened the scoring. There was a real fluency to England's first half performance. Second half was a more dormant time and I do not think that they even tested the Italy keeper. Promising days for them though.

Most England fans would have been content with a draw in this fixture based on previous results, England hadn't won against Italy in a competitive match since the 70’s.

That match reminded me of the 3-2 win in Spain early in the Southgate era. England used most of their energy in the first half to take a 3-0 lead, then sat back in the second half while Spain took full control and held on for a 3-2.

It would have been more comfortable if they’d managed to score 1 or 2 more while they were on top, especially the Grealish open goal.

Rice was immense yesterday and also Bellingham was instrumental in the transition for England’s counter attacks. Those runs he makes look exhausting so it’s no wonder he couldn’t keep them up in the second half.

It’s not often that England manage to hold on for a win like this and Southgate has to be given credit for the subs he made after Shaw got sent off. Trippier, Gallagher, and James settled things down.

I watched Sweden- Belgium and France - Netherlands. Greizman scored in 2 minutes and then they scored again at the 8th, the massacred the Dutch. 4-0 Mbabbe scored twice. France was very good I can see them winning euro or England.

Lukaku woke up for Belgium and pulled off a hat trick. Sweden although good was not up to it and lost 3-0.
