PeePee is already aligned with culture wars, from his support of the convoy to his present attacks, MGTOW and photo ops with fringe activists.
He's already there.
one persons terrorist, is another persons freedom fighter. See Che Guevara

Who do you think started the culture wars, cultivated and for as good long while won it. Maybe permanently. As with any “war”, the Victor gets to write the history books.

Don’t like bed? Don’t make them.

What does that have to do with what happened here?
You implied PP wouldn't try to steer the party in a direction because it wasn't moral or correct, I'm pointing out that PP already has shown he isn't concerned by acting morally. Not that is an accusation of corruption.

So in other words, you have no proof that he didn't do exactly what you wanted him to do, but he just lost the argument?
This isn't an allegation of corruption, its a discussion of where the party is going and whether PP is trying to steer it in a more electable direction. I'm not accusing him of doing anything, just pointing out that there are always options to try to keep the party away from publicizing views that aren't popular. DoFo hid his party mandate and doesn't allow party statements to come to the public. PP went the opposite way or didn't act at all, allowing the party to post statements on abortion and LGBTQ that aren't popular opinions. Its more of an observation that despite the new clothes he's still hitched to the freedom convoy.

And he has been actively trying to shift focus of late, which seems to have worked out well for him given the rising poll numbers.
The party has lots of money right now and is PP is trying to message based on housing and inflation. The media is running along with this message and aiding with lots of negative stories on Trudeau. PP's polls are up right now, but its early yet. We'll see what happens later, whether PP has left enough areas for the libs to attack, whether new housing and inflation initiatives are enough or how the economy does in the next 2 years.

I implied PP has limited ability to steer the party in a direction.

Which he clearly has.
He's tried to change the messaging and focus on other issues.
His ability to force the grass roots to go along with him is limited.
Could he have done more?
Maybe.

The provincial and the federal parties don't have the same systems, do they?
Does the provincial party have a convention like this?

Sure.
Politics is hard.
But we both agree he has tried to change the focus, just like you asked him to.

Perhaps, its unclear still.

Maybe.
I've been reading more stories about Postmedia being Fox North and the general level of disinformation and money being spent pushing conservative disinformation and messaging.
Its working for now when the liberals and NDP aren't campaigning or responding but we'll have to see when the other parties shine lights on PeePee's weaknesses, of which there are many.

The provincial and the federal parties don't have the same systems, do they?
Does the provincial party have a convention like this?
I think its similar enough.
Ontario cons definitely had a convention, which is why DoFo's tricks worked.

This is as good as PeePee will do.
He spent $100,000 on travel this quarter while the libs were just busy governing and doing things.

PeePee has too many idiotic positions to campaign against, when it gets closer to election time.

You said that about a month ago. Things for the Liberal brand since have only gotten worse. He’s down even more…In time, depending on peoples vagaries, who knows how many on the die hard left will go to the NDP. The train wreck is well on its way
